  1. If I was the owner, as soon as I saw the video of the coach dancing, winning or losing, I'd fire him instantly. I want a serious coach, not some goofball who clearly wants to be liked more than he wants to win.

  2. This is only surprising if you haven't actually been paying attention to the Grizzlies over the past three years and have no idea what you're talking about. You can't say "fans including me" are wondering why this happened, because actual fans already know. Before the all star break, we were cooking teams with a new offense based partly on a mix of IIsalo's old offense and Noah LaRoach's style, but Jenkins was apparently too scared to go all-in on Iisalo's offense. Then, ever since the all star break, we suddenly abandoned that offense and went back to Jenkin's old BS that didn't work (he stated in several pressers that he was "mixing in" more and more of the "old stuff" as time goes on, and that it was always his plan). So, the team started to tank, going 8-11, losing 4 out of 5 on the road, and we couldn't beat any teams with above .500 records. They replaced his entire coaching staff this year, except for Pat St. Andrews (who sucks), and Jenkins still couldn't win. He is decent at player development but only to a certain level. He's consistently shown an inability to take potential star players to the next level of greatness. His rotations are trash. His late-game decisions are dumbfounding and bad. The rumor has been that, despite his stupid sideline dancing, that he lost the team months ago, which led to this decision. He tries to be everyone's friend but rarely hold players accountable. Seriously, no actual Grizz fan (or anyone who's been paying attention) is surprised by this or thinks it's a bad decision. Only the timing is surprising (it's a hail mary pass for a likely lost season) because everyone was expecting he'd get fired this summer, not now. Wouldn't be surprised if Ja is gone this summer if he doesn't shape up (trade for Trae Young?).

  3. Def some type of scandal. That’s the only way this makes sense a couple weeks b4 the play in/playoffs with the team being a 4/possible 3rd seed. This is a crazy distraction. When the Celtics did this, they at least leaked why they did it and it wasn’t right b4 the playoffs but in the off season at least. Whatever he did must be egregious……

  4. Another white coach unfairly fired in today's toxic NBA culture. Smh. I'm not interested in playing or examining everything from a racial angle but look at the past couple years of unfair firings. Vogel, Coach Bud, now Jerkins. Smh. THE only other real unfair firing involved Adrian Griffin in Milwaukee FlightMike I have commented on your channel for quite sometime and call out the truth ( thus the name TheRealtruth).

  5. They believe he doesnt have the influence to change these hoodlems hes turning more like them and they see that and hes not a leader of men.. hes a leader of boys

  6. Taylor's a great coach! Yes, he played with rotations a lot but dude was experimenting and was never one dimensional.
He made the most out of what he had. It's just sad he lost the locker room politics. I hope a worthy team picks him up. Imagine if he was on the Knicks or Pacers?

  7. I don’t have any information on this and I’m only guessing this based on my experience as a manager, but I think this firing was about something other than basketball. Otherwise, you’d just ride it through the end of this season.

  8. As a Lakers fan I’m a bit upset they did this right before our game with them, he was the only worse crunch time decision maker in recent history than LBJ and the lead blowing Lakers. 😢

  9. It doesn't matter. Adam Silver sending Luka to the Lakers solidified the fact that this will be another Lakers and Boston Celtics Championship.
None of the other teams in the league matter anymore this year. See in you the Finals! Lebron vs. Tatum. Los Angeles vs. Boston. Take care!
