  6. Torts is a horrible Evil monster.Couldnt coach a bunch of 5 yr olds..Greatest day of the yr.Should have Fired his Looooser Ass last yr.Flyers would have made the playoffs without this Jerkoff..Bring in Tocc,or Quenneville.

    Obviously without Torts, but I'd like to see it keep going in some capacity.

  17. Keep fighting Jason, I respect your dedication to reporting with everything you're dealing with + it being a lost season etc. You have a Flyers mindset; all fight& no quit. If you're able to work, you get at it and try your best no excuses. RESPECTšŸ§”šŸ–¤ Had Yandle and Hayes followed your example of making an effort and fighting adversity we would have embraced them even though they were more washed than that one pair of boxers we all have (and our better halves hate) with a shot waistband and diminishing thread count.

    Bill- I know you didn't say otherwise, but CAL PETERSON IS NOT A GOOD AHL GOALIE. After we signed him I thought he'd compete with Ersson to be backing up Hart. Now, he's losing games for the phantoms. The Philly Goalie Curse continues. We had a legit 1- turns out he's a scumbag off the ice. We had a promising #2 with Ersson, now he seems out of his depth and overworked. We had the best goalie not in the NHL, gets shipped to a Russian navy base in Siberia(?) and hasn't found his game since. We had an exciting prospect in the KHL, came over, thought he was too good for the AHL- now he looks like a mid AHL goalie. We signed Quick's backup who seemed like a potential #2, now hes a 2/3 on the Phantoms. I want to believe in Bjarnason and/or Zavragin but they feel so far down the road that its abstract. It appears to be a weak goalie draft and FA. Priority #1 has got to be addressing this, but I can't see how. As a goalie guy, what do you see as realistic Jason? Or are we just doomed to never have another contender level goalie?

  18. Happy Birthday Jason ! We all hope you have many, many more ! I was disappointed with the dismissal of Torts and now wonder who they will choose as the next HC. If they are looking to get away from Torts and his coaching team and those who were part of that outside the organization, that lets out Shaw, Rocky and if let go from Pitts, Sullivan. Who do you feel has the best opportunity to land the job ?

  19. Torts was the wrong coach from day one.
    He was, is and always will be a win now coach.
    That said, the timing is curious to say the least.
    Of course the Flyers will win these meaningless games with the new coach sugar high and screw up their draft position.
    Jesus christ, if they bring in Rick Tochett im out. They cant be that stupid.

  20. Loved Torts as a coach. Sad to see him go out so late in the season.
    But
    Danny did the right thing. You absolutely can not have a coach in the system that prospects have doubts about playing for. Lots of new picks and hopefully FAā€™s coming down the pipeline soon.
    Best wishes Jason with everything. Your show always brings excitement into my day.

  21. Danny set this team back again. Flyers are worse now then they were with Torts. Now we have to bring in a new coach with a new system with a new culture. I officially have no clue what Danny is doing?

  22. Happy B-day Jason!! You will get through this and you will have MANY more B-days to come! Just for fun, I emailed you my 5 bold predictions at the start of this season and my 4th prediction was Brad Shaw would be coaching the team once Torts left. At least I got one right. Keep fighting!

  24. Torts was the wrong coach from day 1. He undermined Danny from day 1 ā€œDanny may say this is year 1 but this is year 2 of the rebuildā€. These past couple years have been some of the hardest years to root for the team. He talked to reporters( by extension the fans) like they donā€™t matter and we annoyed him. His accountability speechā€™s rang hollow when he constantly had not for himself(suspended on anniversary night in TB- wonā€™t talk about it, benching coots- wonā€™t explain it, benching guys during homecomings/yet taking off press conferences because ā€œfamily is more importantā€. Yes some guys developed. Most regressed offensively. Tippett didnā€™t learn how to play. He became completely dependent off the rush. Florida tried to teach him how to play. Torts let him be a dumb player. I couldnā€™t be happier heā€™s gone. We now get to see if Dannyā€™s vision can work.

  36. Why do these coaches keep getting recycled? F no to Torts ever runming a bench in the NHL again! Id much rather see David Carle, DU coach that has the most disciplined team in D1, Or Jay Pandolfo from BU who has YEARS of experience in developing and maximizing young talent, or Greg Brown from BC who has turned out players like Leonard, Perrault and Fortescue, the core of the US Juniors that won the gold last summer. Im sick of retread coaches like Lavvy, Torts, Tocchet etc. The Rangers blew it, they had their next coach in Hartford and let the Oilers snag him. Dolan does not care about championships, MSG sells out just about every game regardless. Even Mike Schaefer from Cornell gets his team to the elite 8 in the Frozen4 every year. These guys are feeding the NHL its future stars.

  41. Feisty bottom 6 forwards are all the Flyers know………interesting to see what is added thru free agency over the next 2 years with the money we have to spend. Will Danny be aggressive at the Draft with 7 picks to move up or trade?????
