On Wednesday afternoon, On3 reported that former Clemson forward Chauncey Wiggins, from Grayson, Georgia, would remain in the ACC, as he committed to head coach Luke Locuks and Florida State. Wiggins spent three seasons with the Tigers, increasing his playing time and points per game every year, and taking multiple trips to the NCAA tournament with CU coach Brad Brownell. Wiggins played one of his best games of the year against FSU in Tallahassee last season, posting 11-8-3 in 21 minutes.

Wiggins fits Coach Loucks’s profile: long, veteran, versatile, and can shoot it. The 6’10’’ forward can play multiple positions while stretching the floor after shooting 36.5% from deep in the 2024-25 season. Wiggins will also bring vital experience to a brand new roster, understanding what it takes to win in the ACC and receive a bid to the tournament. Click here for Wiggins’ stats from ESPN.com.

Wiggins chose Clemson over NC State, Georgia, South Florida and Maryland.

“Chauncey is a skilled forward who has great size for his position,” said Brownell. “His ability to shoot the ball well will help us to continue to play with a spread floor on offense. It makes him a very versatile player for us, and we’re excited to add him to our program.”
