Pete Carroll makes his stance pretty clear regarding the Raiders’ 2025 NFL Draft plans at one crucial position

When the Las Vegas Raiders traded for the former Seattle Seahawks quarterback, Geno Smith, it lifted a weight off the front office’s shoulders. This franchise hasn’t had a quarterback as good as Smith in a very long time. The trade was needed.
And, some may argue that point with Derek Carr, but the truth is, while Carr has done more in his career, because of Smith’s stint as a backup, Smith’s peak is much better than Carr’s when you look at the talent of the two. But, with Smith’s age, as he is currently 34, the Raiders need to have a backup plan. That’s not to say they don’t have any faith in Smith, but they want to be sure.White has a connection with new Raiders general manager John Spytek and minority owner Tom Brady, stemming from their time together in Tampa Bay.
White was drafted by the Buccaneers with the fifth overall pick of the 2019 draft. He spent five seasons with the Buccaneers and collected 585 tackles and 23 sacks in 76 career games.
He played a big role in helping the Buccaneers win a Super Bowl in 2020 when he posted a career-best 140 tackles and nine sacks.
White was a Pro Bowl selection in 2021.
After his final season in Tampa Bay in 2023, White signed a one-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles but was later released after being inactive for the first four games of the 2024 campaign.
Eventually, White was picked up by the Houston Texans and appeared in seven games, totaling 19 tackles.
In Las Vegas, White will have a chance to compete for a starting job
Ashton Jeanty is the top running back prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft class, as the 21-year-old had one of the greatest college football seasons of all time in 2024 and will be an impact player in his rookie year.
Jeanty is a projected first-round pick and will have many teams vying for his services, but one franchise that has been constantly linked to the generational talent is the Las Vegas Raiders. The team is in desperate need of a game-changer at running back, and they likely won’t be in the quarterback market after acquiring Geno Smith from the Seattle Seahawks. The Raiders currently hold the No.6 overall pick in the draft.

Will Campbell is Robert Gallary 2.0
Bro, the thing is you said the same thing about Jeanty that you are saying about drafting a guard or lineman! You said I would not draft a RB at 6th like you are saying about a guard or lineman. The bottom line if the player is worth the pick he is a good pick ! I heard that from the beginning Jeanty was heads above the other running backs and was worth the pick . If you pick a player that is ( great at his position ) that makes his value at 6 worth it ! Itβs all in the evaluation, all players are not the same at their position!
GO DODGERS
