Are the Denver Broncos lack of moves at WR pointing to drafting Matthew Golden or Tetairoa McMillan

Sean Payton says he’s happy with his wide receivers room of Courtland Sutton, Marvin Mims Jr., Troy Franklin and DeVaughn Vele. He says the Denver Broncos don’t need to add another wideout to the group.
But April is smoke screen season in the NFL, and the smoke will only grow as the NFL Draft creeps closer.
Is Sean Payton sharing his true feelings about his receivers, or is Tetairoa McMillan, Emeka Egbuka or Matthew Golden a potential option for his Denver Broncos in the first round? Would a rookie receiver later in the draft, like Tory Horton or Tez Johnson, make more sense than a top-tier option?
Former Denver Broncos receiver and Super Bowl 50 champion Bennie Fowler joins the show in-studio to break down what the Denver Broncos have in their receiving quartet and whether they need one more skillset to complete the puzzle.
On the DNVR Broncos Podcast, Bennie Fowler, Zac Stevens and Henry Chisholm are coming to you LIVE from the DNVR Bar to break down all of the latest news in Broncos Country.

No, their lack of moves means that they're happy with the room. Why is it so hard to believe them when they say it.
How many smallish speed receivers do we need? We have two already, so why would raft Matthew Golden? Tight end, DT, and RB are all bigger needs than the #2 receiver spot, especially since we have TWO young guys who are both on the rise now. We could also use another ILB who can cover as insurance in case Greenlaw gets hurt again. If they take a WR in this draft it should be a very late round developmental guy, maybe one that can return punts in case Mims come on to the point they no longer want to risk him with that duty. My pick for that would be Virginia Tech's Jaylin Lane, who clocked a 4.34 forty & a 40" vertical while demolishing the combine drills. He's probably as good a return guy as Mims. He's likely a day three pick.
I'm hoping we take Treveon Henderson in the first
Great to see Bennie on the show!
Benny is a great replacement for Todd Davis. Would love to have him as a full time host
They have a solid WR group. Plenty of smallish guys including Michael Bandy. Deep threats like AT Perry. I wouldn't say no to Egbuka or a joker like Savion Williams or Efton Chism if he fell to 6th round. Sherfield might catch a few but will be great on special teams.
Vele is 6' 5" ! Get it right.
babababa bennie and the catch….
What about A.T. Perry???? Heard he was working with our first team in practice.
@Jose always bringing the juice with the Velee flex in broncos history to have more catches than those legends of DT, B MARSH AND SUTTON
Still developing AT Perry. I think he could be good next year, too.
Hopefully we hit on the runningback in the draft the run game will open up the pass game they go hand in hand
We still need a TE
Luther Burden III would be an exceptional addition to Sean Payton’s Denver Broncos if they draft him with the 20th overall pick. Payton’s offensive philosophy thrives on innovation, utilizing pre-snap motion, shifts, and creative play designs to get playmakers the ball in space and exploit defensive mismatches. Burden’s skill set—marked by versatility, speed, and precise route-running—makes him a tailor-made fit for this system. His ability to line up in multiple positions, whether in the slot, on the outside, or even in the backfield, would give Payton the flexibility to confuse defenses and create favorable matchups. During his standout final season at Missouri, Burden eclipsed 1,000 receiving yards, with a significant chunk of that production coming after the catch. His elusiveness and tackle-breaking ability shone on screens, slants, and other quick-hitting plays—exactly the kind Payton loves to dial up.
Beyond his alignment versatility, Burden’s knack for turning short passes into big gains perfectly complements Payton’s playbook. This trait would be huge for the Broncos as they nurture a young Bo Nix providing him with a reliable and explosive target to accelerate his development. While Denver already boasts receivers like Courtland Sutton, a possession specialist, and Marvin Mims Jr, a speed threat, Burden brings a unique dimension with his playmaking skills and high football IQ. His experience running diverse routes at Missouri suggests he can quickly adapt to Payton’s complex schemes, enhancing the offense immediately. Selecting Burden III at 20 would be a pivotal move, amplifying Payton’s innovative play-calling and elevating the Broncos’ attack to new heights with a versatile, game-changing weapon.
Ba Ba Ba Bennie and the Geeks 🤣
Rod was undrafted so he did more with way way less. DT was amazing and lived up to the hype and is the most talented WR the team has had. B Marsh is a close second. Both had the size speed and hands.
Heck yeah Bennie!
