  1. Caleb Williams is about to be a stud and I can't wait to see it. He was good last year with nothing. Had almost 3 game winning drives. With proper coaching he wouldn't even be in a situation to have to come back.

  7. I really like Colin’s takes but that thing about Caleb looking like a franchise QB by mid October or he isn’t, is incorrect. Geno and Sam Darnold are the perfect examples of that erroneous analogy. Microwave success is a real expectation but people just seem to forget the days a rookie actually sat a year before harnessing the reigns of an NFL franchise. The ones , the few, that have done it and succeeded are the exception, not the rule. Caleb is no different. It’s like going from basic math to analytical geometry. The big leap needs time for adjustment. The coaches job is to bring that out without stripping these young men of their self confidence, a la Trey Lance. I bet if this year he was traded to the Chiefs, being around Patrick and Andy for a year would do wonders for his development.

  9. Sam Darnold..After 5,6, 7 years in the league? Colin you can find basically ANY cumulation of stats to back up any philosophy you are pitching. Yes, it does take some time and certainly more than mid October. These are INDIVIDUALS, not interchangeable robots. EVERYBODYs learning curve is different.

  10. They don't got really nice nothing. U dont know what the o-line and the weapons are until the games are played. U fxxls said the same thing last year, and the weapons ended up being sub par (primarily Keenan Allen) and the o-line was the worst I've seen in a while if not ever.

  16. This guys takes are premature. By October? He has shown a lot, not as much as he could have if he would’ve had competent coaching. With all that went on last year his stats were still similar to Daniel’s. He’s not a perfect product, he needs developing , but a new coach, new system, tough division. He’ll get there.

  20. If you watch the Bears last year you already know williams will be a very good QB. does have the anticipation to be an elite QB. we cant say that as of yet but that comes with reps and knowing an offense inside an out.

  21. Oh I remember when Colin thought Dan Campbell was an awful hire and Jared Goff was done. I can’t wait to put these two clips together when it doesn’t work out for Ben Johnson and the Bears. Ben is not this singular genius that came up with the Lions offense. He was 1 person out of 5 or 6 that created the offense. Also we have two guys that would solely look at what trick plays we could run each week and go to Ben and show him. As for play calling Ben is not always the best play caller, he messed up a lot. MCDC is an offensive coach and a football guru. Ben not only has to call plays and make an offense work but he now has to run a whole team. I don’t think he’s a players coach and I think it’s gonna crash and burn.

  29. Caleb Williams is not a franchise quarter back, he is going to Lose every game for the bears, bench Caleb Williams and put in Tyson Beagent and he will at least win. Jayden Daniels is a great and the Washington Commanders will win every game and the Superbowl in 2025. I will watch the Washington Commanders win every game and the bears Lose every game on the NFL channel. "Hail To The Commanders"!

  40. People who are high in the bears or low on the bears don’t matter, the only offseason convo about the bears is the pressure on Caleb next year is through the roof
