OLIVER MOORE GOT HIS FIRST NHL POINTS!
Refs really wanted to be part of history so bad tonight…
The stress of Ovi almost scoring was the rush of playoff hockey I haven’t felt in years with the hawks.
Someone test ovi blood already
People complaining about the announcers talking about Ovi are weird. Yeah, let’s ignore that Gretzky’s record was just tied, let’s talk about Bedard’s 1000th turnover instead lol.
Idgaf about tying…I’m so relieved he didn’t beat the record against us.
I gave myself a stress headache watching this game. My husband was like “if this is a taste of you in playoff mode, I’m not gonna be able to handle you”.
This is a win in my books. At least they didn’t let him get the last one. Spencer Knight my goat didnt let that shi slide by either
Bedard can’t get a breakaway pass or a pass in good position to save his life.

Wooooooo held Ovi to only 2 goals! Biggest win of the year imo.
Back to back games with strong 1st and 2nd periods that completely fell apart in the third. I know it’s cool seeing Ovi tie the record but that doesn’t take away from the fact that this team continues to blow games in the third. It’s a slap in the face to the fans who keep showing up every night. This better get cleaned up next year cuz it’s getting ridiculous
Thank you Knight, lol.
Moore and Rinzel looked great. Selfishly glad Ovi didn’t break the record against us, but I will say it was cool to see the Hawks shaking his hand etc. Also, did anyone catch the fact that CHSN nearly lost signal on a would-be record breaker?
Big ups to hawk’s players giving ovi post-game salute! Great players great organization!

Nazar is actually the best player on our team. I love his energy and Levshunov’s energy. And Rinzel is smooooooth
I’m just glad the record didn’t happen against us
ah shit don’t make me like ovi with this postgame speech
it wasn’t us!!!!!
Lmao that fan poured popcorn on Ovechkin. He’s probably gone for a long time
I thought they played pretty well the first 2 periods and collapsed in the 3rd.
The story of the last couple games now.
The Bedard discourse is going to some fun shit next year.
champagne shower “and a few other substances” boys what do you know that we don’t?
I’m glad it’s the islanders with the right reserved to forever be in the history books. Thank god he didn’t break it tonight, hell he shouldn’t have even tied it if the referees called Leonard for holding Bedard on the Bedard holding call. I mean, he was grabbing his leg like a recently divorced drunk grabs a stripper’s leg, you gotta call it both ways.
The Hawks didn’t play all that great in the third, but the Hawks had one powerplay in a game they shoulda had 5 or 6. So many missed interference calls with like half of them on Wilson alone. Dude skated across the slot to interference with Levshunov who wasn’t even close to the puck on a rush, that’s a penalty. Or the missed penalty leading to Ovi’s breakaway. It is a joke. We want to see a game of hockey, not some BS made to make sure Ovi gets to break a record. Do your job referees and call the game fairly.
We can’t get the puck into the zone in Bedards line. Maybe put Rinzel or Moore with him?
Footnote of history isn’t too bad all things considered. The Islanders have gotta be sweating on Sunday.
Lost in all of this was a strong showing by Moore and Nazar. Kept it close and interesting.
I thought that was fun: we played a competitive game against one of the best teams in the league, the young guys looked great, Moore got his first two points, and we got to see history made. Pretty nice show for a Friday night.
Spencer fucking Knight… **THANK YOU***
Saved our asses so hard haha. Anyways, besides the infamy of #894, Nazar had a fantastic game overall, Moore looked good and get his first NHL points, Rinzel and Kaiser had noticeable moments, so lots to like from the young guns.
On the other hand… there is nothing more disappointing than Bedard being so anti-clutch at the NHL level, which is the exact opposite of his Juniors profile. Whether it’s been Calder battle games against Faber last year, facing off with Celebrini this year, the Winter Classic, any game against his hometown Canucks, tonight’s biggest stage yet, etc. he just had not shown up at fucking all. Brutal play and penalty to let Ovi go on the powerplay (again) and of course he scores the record tying goal. Just so fucking sad to see. Hopefully he quickly turns this trend around starting next season – we know he has the ability to do so.
Bedard needs a new move or 2. His walking it in or across the center of the top of the slot, pivoting, and being swarmed is getting too predictable.
I thought I was watching CHICAGO Sports Network but everyone was on Ovechkin’s jock I must have been on a different network.
Such a fun game & a hand shake line to boot! Thank goodness they held ovi off… actually it’s nice that this can steep over the wkend for the NHL. And thank you Spencer. Tonight was the first time I was screaming at bedsy 😞
I really, really hope Richardson didn’t break Bedard by insisting on making him play a game that’s not the game he’s good at playing.
Let’s go Sharks!
Bedsy needs to spend the entire summer at the frank nazar power skating academy
Caps fan coming in to salute the Hawks for staying on the ice to congratulate Ovi. Wouldn’t expect anything less from one of the classiest organizations in the league.
