  1. If I’m the GM and can do what ever I want I’m keeping Riley, Olson, Acuna and Harris. Everyone else is tradable and we know this is more than likely Ozunas last year. I’d get some more athleticism in the line up and a real short stop who’s good with the bat. No more designated DH unless it’s someone like Ohtani level good.

  2. Some of these comments are wild lol. Goodness roughs stretches… I agree with Jake. We have actually started to see some adjustments at the plate: drawing more walks, more in some contact but chasing the same amount of pitches outside the zone….. they are taking more of the pitches they should swing at. It’s more of a balancing act: can’t be overly aggressive but can’t sit back too much. I feel they will find that balance and it’s going to make a big difference. Those hits with risp will go up but the lineup also lacks speed without Acuña and nobody really steals bases…. It limits how they can attack other team’s pitchers. The big pieces in the lineup need to get going and that’s what will keep this team in it until Acuña’s return. I do feel once Verdugo is ready Kelenic should be optioned and Nick Allen should be the every day SS. The small things are what plague this lineup getting the sac flys with runners at 3rd and less than 2 outs and moving guys over. These guys really want to get to a more dynamic place and I firmly believe they can but these are the remaining hurdles they will have to clear. Great video Jake! An important one as well.

  3. Also, to those blaming coaching: you can’t blame coaching for everything the big guys have to step up and this journey to diversify the lineups approach is not an overnight thing it will take time. This is uncharted territory for them. If all pans out this lineup could be more dangerous than ever before… especially in the postseason

  4. lol can’t wait to hear about how it’s not time to panic and the season is still very much alive even though it would require pulling off something that’s literally NEVER been done in the history of MLB.

  5. Great episode Jake! Some of these fans in the chat are wild. My guess none of them has ever played an organized game of baseball in their life. It is 2 weeks in the season good lord.

  6. At both Friday and Saturday night games. Friday was a throwback to 2023 and Saturday was all of 2024 and this year so far. Been to a bunch of games and the boos at the end of the game spoke volumes. Don’t hear that a lot there. All of Truist booed them for the most part.

  7. While I can agree that it is still early in the season to be jumping off bridges, I will say that we do need new leadership with this team. And that’s based on the last couple of seasons. I’ve seen 5 year old tee-ball teams with more hunger and effort than this Braves team.

  8. Small ball hasn't been the answer in baseball for years and the fact that people keep clamoring for small ball is insane. 12 of 15 runs the Dodgers scored against the Braves were extra base hits. In the game last night, the Marlins hit 3HR's. The teams with the best records so far in 2025 are doing what? Hitting HR. The Yankees (first in HRs), the Dodgers (2nd in HRs), Detroit (9th in HR), Tex (10th in HR), Cubs (3rd in HRs), and Phillies (18th). 5 of the 6 division leaders are top 10 in HR and I'm sure everyone is confident the Phillies won't be 18th all season.

The Braves don't need more small ball. Would more speed help? Sure. The Braves see the 3rd fewest strikes in baseball so far and are only 7th in BB rate but are 13th in swinging at pitches outside the zone at 32.1%. The Braves only see 39% strikes so far in 2025. When pitchers don't have to throw strikes consistently, their jobs get much easier.

  9. If it not broke then don’t fix it. They get rid of good players. They should keep players. Remember the shortstop they use to have named Swanson and freeman and others

  10. Braves need to start playing basic fundamental baseball rather than the all or nothing way. It’s also fun to watch as well leading to more wins because of the good pitching.

  11. The problem is Snitker. He has no discipline at all. The players run the ship and Snit just turns in the lineup card. Play ABC baseball. Riley is LOST.

  12. Braves always disappear end of year, decided to disappear from get go this year! Maybe can actually enjoy game at Truist this year when the fair weather fans stop coming with their snot nosed peanut allergy kids!

  13. Might be time to get younger, keep harris, riley, Olson, profar, murphy schllenbach, strider, Lopez, as a base trade acuna Sorry he will be chronically hurt while he's valuable let him go doesnt look like what they doing is working this is a post that most will disagree with and I expect it but something needs to change

  14. My question is. Whos the freddy freeman of this clubhouse? Whos the vet leader ? I dont think we have that guy that rallies all the others and has them willing to go to war together

  15. There is a reason why for over 100 years baseball lineups have been built with table setters followed by sluggers. We have a lineup of either slug first or defense first position players. Not one hitter in our lineup has their best tool as getting on base. I was hoping Profar could at least give us one but alas he got on the juice and got popped. Hitting the ball hard is great but a lot of times just putting it in play, and not pop up, is enough and we absolutely suck at that. Can’t blame the coaches when the guys are doing exactly what got them here.

  16. How on earth did we lose to the garbage Marlins 4-0. Thay was truly pathetic it wasn't like we were facing an Ace like Sandy Alcantara. This is like when we lost 1-0 to the goddamn Chicago White Sox last year after Chris Sale was awesome.
