From the official press kit:

City Connect 2025: The Remix – A campaign driven by rhythm. Designed to move—like the city that inspired it.

  • Turn It Up!: This uniform brings our story together—from the city’s counterculture roots to its genre-defying sound. Every detail in the jersey reflects San Francisco’s creative energy: bold color, music-inspired textures, and a rhythm all of its own. It’s not about nostalgia. It’s about movement. A new look for a city that never stays still.
  • The Story Behind Purple: From 1913–1917, the NY Giants wore violet—a nod to New York University that challenged baseball tradition. Today, it returns in a remix—linking the team’s roots to San Francisco’s spirit of rebellion.
  • Gradient Accents: Orange and violet crossfade like sound and motion. This isn’t retro—it surges forward, remixing in real time.
  • Sound Waves: Pressed like vinyl grooves—these lines pulse with the rhythm of the city and echo across the Bay.
  • The Glove Patch: Our outfield glove—reimagined like a '60s gig poster. A tribute to movement, creativity, and San Francisco’s underground energy.
  • Script in Motion: The chest script riffs like a melody—bold, stretched, unmistakable. A remix rooted in San Francisco’s creative pulse.
  • The Hat: A Seamless Remix: The cap blends tie-dye tones, hidden samples, and the iconic SF logo—framed in the gradient. Head to toe, it remixes San Francisco into one rhythm.

  1. I think these are the worst jerseys for a professional sports team that I’ve ever seen.

  2. I just don’t understand the purple. I think rest of the design is passable.

  3. Since the jersey leak, I’m here for the rest of the ensemble. I really wish the pants were all-black, but I kinda like the hat. Better than I expected.

  4. I’m not a fan. I wasn’t big on the creamsicles either but they’re much better than this version.

  5. Absolutely horrendous. I didn’t even like the fog ones and those were 100x better than this.

The purple is supposed to be an homage to NYU??? Who the hell came up with this bullshit

  6. I wanna like this..but the “Giants” across the chest just look so cheap and like an afterthought to me. Is it supposed to be like graffiti art?

  7. Well, those sure are jerseys that exist.

Anyway is it just me or does Webb look fitter than previous seasons? Good job, Webby.

  8. Honestly makes me miss the previous awful city connects. I can’t stand the font

  9. The hat is pretty decent, the jersey is awful. I still sort of want it though.

  10. Like the logo but not a fan of the purple. Reminds me too much of the Phoenix Suns.

  11. I… kinda like it. Not used to seeing purple on our jerseys, but I guess I wouldn’t be if the jerseys they’re paying tribute to are from over 100 years ago.

  12. Yuck, this is a downgrade. SF has so much history and culture and this is what they come up with? The hippy swirl on the sleeve is the only thing that resonates.

  13. said it before and imma say it again: what in the Fred flinstone fuck shit is this?

  14. The only good part of this is the glove logo.

The description is like a corporate-speak chat bot trying to sound “hip,” and doesn’t have any actual specific connections to the city.

This actually managed to be the worst city connect, and that’s saying something.

  15. I actually like em. I know I’m in the smallest of minorities here but I’d wear it

  16. Yikes. The press kit description sounds like someone hastily tried to get ChatGPT to give some kind of justification for the awful design

  17. Idk, they’re not great, but they’re a thousand times better than the last ones lmao

  18. You know what? I don’t hate it. I think the story behind these ones are better than the stupid fog ones. I think these will grow on people as they see them more

  19. actually looks much better when I see our guys actually wearing them

let’s see how they look on tv at the ballpark

They’re going for the 60’s psychedelic music poster. I like the idea but not the execution.

  21. Wade looking like he wouldn’t be caught dead in these uniforms if it weren’t up to him 😂

  22. Take the sleeve patch make it 50% bigger, put it on the chest. Move the “Giants” mark to the sleeve.

    Fin.

  23. These aren’t uniforms but clown costumes.

Once again MLB’s branding and marketing dept is insistent that *this year is the year* and every year what gets rolled-out is some designer’s wet-dream believing they’ve cracked the code for new jersey sales and each year, the fans laugh, shake their heads and look forward to the when they disappear.

Wasting your time and resources with this MLB. Can only imagine what the rejected proposals looked like
