This is a loss that can break your spirits. Arguably our best quarter of the season followed by the worst quarter of the season.
How Ficnh didn’t make a single adjustment in the 4th is unfathomable. Just no excuse to not try something different.
Fighting for homecourt in the play-in game now instead of homecourt in the playoffs.
The worst quarter of basketball I’ve seen from historically the worst franchise in North American major sports (or close to it, I think we climbed out of that title a couple years ago and are now like 3rd or 4th worst)
These guys should be proud
On a serious note- Chris finch has been a good coach through a lot of significant roster turnover but I’ve seen enough. We can’t stop momentum when other teams go on a run, play down to shit teams consistently, and couldnt run a good play late in the game if the team had 5 traffic cones on defense
Just consistent things that kill this teams ability to be a contender, and largely have been his entire time here
Ouch
Unserious team

Well that sucked, and was everything that we have worried about with this team all season long. The inconsistency will almost certainly be this teams downfall, but the only question is how deep of a run they can make before it outweighs all the good that is still there

What a meltdown
Traumatizing 4th quarter.
At least I can be at peace watching these last 3 games knowing that this team doesn’t deserve to be anything other than a play-in team after that pathetic showing in the 4th quarter.
Crazy how any confidence this team builds on can completely evaporate in one quarter.
I did not enjoy watching this game of basket and ball.
Another classic for the minnesota sports misery hall of fame
Getting outcoached by Doc Rivers in 2025 is legit a firable offense
lolololol ALL IT WAS WAS A ZONE
Two days to rebound from one of the worst losses in NBA history. We’ll find out what these players and coaches got in a must win game on Thursday. Just insane.
Holy shit this fucking team bruh
Ant has been regressing from three for nearly 3 months now. It’s time to move on from the chucking.
One of the worst games in Timberwolves history. Hard to be positive about the rest of the season after that one. Hopefully we bounce back and win the next 3 and then maybe we’ll avoid the play-in. Feeling like that’s where they deserve to be though
That back to back ant and julius chuck from 3s when we were already crumbling was pretty insane. And then to just consistently pass the ball directly to the other team. People can blame finch all day long but the players lost this game.
Watching a game like that coupled with these unnecessarily close games against bad teams has absolutely rocked my sense of who this team is. They’re not winning more than a game or two if they continue to do this, and that’s including Finch.
Just absolutely horrendous play by the players and execution/planning from the coaching staff. How do you let a run that bad happen in such an important game. How do you get SO little from so many starters? And how does Finch just watch it all happen when there are three starter-worthy players sitting on the bench?
I can’t wait to never see Randle play another game for us

Win probability chart looking like the stock market
This is the low point in the season for me. Sucked all the joy out of me as a fan. I’ll be back Thursday
That was one of, if not the worst game of the season and that exact game has happened at least 12 times this year. We have some of the dumbest nba players in existence. I don’t know or understand how finch survives as a head coach going into next season. There is no accountability and no offensive identity. The players are given freedom to continuously fuck up and embarrass themselves, the team, and the fans.
95-71

Minnesota Timberwolves in clutch. 1st in 4th quarter points but 22nd in clutch net rating. When it comes to winning the game, this team cannot execute. Got lucky with bricks from 3 by Denver in game 7, got punched 3 times in a row in WCF.
This has always happened under Finch. He has always done this. Somebody said a few threads ago that he is this teams Mark Jackson and it was the perfect example. Fire his ass and get our Kerr
Only the Wolves could let a team go on a 35-3 run with a guaranteed playoff seed on the line
This team will not make it out of the play in. Big changes needed this offseason.
Not a single post up or shot in the pain during that 23-0 run. They just keep hucking threes and throwing the ball to the other team. Fuck Mike. Fuck Finch. And Fuck standing in the corner not doing shit Ant.
Randle and Ant is like throwing dice every game. There is a wiiiiide range of possibility.
Naz and Donte were the reasons we fucking went crazy in the third but of course Chris Finch closes with Randle and Mike instead because who the fuck knows and then he took out Rudy of all people and we couldn’t grab a rebound.
Does this team have the highest ceiling and lowest floor ever jesus
I went to every home playoff game and even flew to Denver for Game 7 last year. I’ll probably watch the first round collapse from home this year instead. This is just an unserious group.
Conley and Randle are sapping Divo’s and Reid’s opportunities and yet the local media dudes are dying to sign Randle, who kills all ball movement in the clutch. No movement with divo and Reid on the bench but finch REFUSES to bench Conley or Randle. Benches Rudy and Jaden before them. I’m at a loss for words
Why we continued to play Conley, Randle and Gobert during the stretch boggled my fucking mind.

One of the worst performances I’ve ever seen. You get what you deserve and this team deserves the play in.

WTF Ant going for a most 3’s title, turnovers after time outs and nobody driving the last 12 minutes of the game. Barkley was right these guys are the dumbest team in the NBA
Could have survived a defense collapse
Could have survived an offense collapse.
In all my years of watching basketball I don’t think I’ve ever seen both collapse so badly simultaneously. It would be fascinating if it wasn’t so maddening.
This team needs a culture change. I don’t know what it is. But someone needs to be there to tell these guys when they’re playing like the dumbest motherfuckers on the planet
We just got sonned by Kevin Porter Jr in the biggest game of the season to date.
This team needs to pull off an insane playoff run for Finch to keep his job this off season
The whole team melted down. But my god, Randle folded so hard under pressure. Has me super worried now about the postseason where he has a terrible rep.
Ant like clockwork turns into a jump shooter when the game gets tight. Especially upsetting here after he attacked all game prior.
And again, enough blame to go around. The whole team imploded. And Finch could not adjust, again. It’s been a problem all year for him.
Boys I’m sorry, but I’m ready for the off-season after that collapse. If we drop to the Bucks like that, what are we going to do to the Thunder or Lakers

Well that was once in a decade loss
This honestly could be a season-breaking loss. Finch should be under the microscope from here on out
That 4th quarter was brutal. Maybe the worst quarter in Ants career? Just turnover after turnover and jacking 3s in between. Randle and Conley getting all those minutes while not contributing shit.
Ant didn’t attack once from late in the 3rd, all the way through the end of the game. Sloppy passes, ugly low probability shots, and all around lazy defense from everybody… and to not have Rudy and McDaniels in the game when we couldn’t buy a rebound late in the game was insane. That was the worst quarter of basketball I’ve seen since opening day of my son’s 3rd grade season last year.
