“I like to play a lot. At the end of the day, it’s my job and I’m always ready.” Lukáš Dostál has set career highs in starts, appearances and wins to assume the mantle of the Ducks’ No. 1 goaltender, now and into the future. – The Sporting Tribune

“Go literally puck by puck. That's literally all you can do,” Dostál said. “I think I'm kind of built for these kinds of moments."

I love the Dostwall
Too bad we got mr injury for 2 more years that no team wants.
Is there an NHL team that will take his 6.5 million per year for 2 years? NO….will they take it for 4.5 for 2 years..NO…so we buy him out at 66% that’s 2.175 million for 4 years…then he resigns with a middle team for 2 million per year..
I think if there’s not a great trade available for Gibson we can keep him and see if he has more value next deadline or season after that. Plenty of cap space and it’s a luxury to have a goaltending tandem this good. Hoping for more of a 50/50 split next season. The injuries weren’t necessarily predictable with them coming from other players bumping into Gibby
If players would stop running into Gibson and injuring him… but Dostal knowing that was already mentally prepared to take on a bigger load
We all knew the transition to Dostal in being the #1 goalie was coming. You have to commend Gibson for being a team player and stating many times he wants to stay in Anaheim even during the rebuild knowing he’s the outgoing goalie.
We’re fortunate to have a friendly goalie tandem. Gibby + Freddie I still think were the friendliest buddies, while Gibson and Dostal feels more friendly co-worker
