NO MiLROE !!!!!!
Its all about how they use him in the kubiak scheme. If they mitigate the risk taking factor with designed plays to utilize his athleticism to keep games competitive, i dont why he cant succeed in the seahawk system. Kubiak can scheme some simpler reads and utilize the threat of the run game with walker, charbs, macintosh, and now milroe.
joe milton i wanted the hawks to draft and learn a year or two under geno smith. I think john wants someone who can scramble better than prime russ. has better speed and acceleration than russ. Jalen just needs to work on his accuracy. muscle memory and processing defenses comes with studying and practice. He's got a wild speed ball. We have receivers who specialize in early and frequent separation. JSN and Triple crown Kupp (if healthy) can make it way easier for a wild gun slinger to have a high completion rate and low turn overs. you just dont throw the ball that often and rely on your mobile o line to make the space in the run game to dominate with an above 60 percent run rate. If the o line creates space like the eagles you have a very real formula of keeping an offensive scheme with a lot of talented players with the most cap space by having the qb position on a rookie deal.
no higher than 82
Milroe could be a great weapon at Fullback for us!
We'll find out in 2 weeks. The speculation before the draft is the worst possible football content.
Why? We cud have just signed his clone who signed with Jets! Rather have Will Howard.
If you want to see the future of Jalen Milroe as an NFL quarterback, go watch Anthony Richardson struggle to keep his job with the Indianapolis Colts. Carroll and Schneider were rumored to have wanted to draft Richardson with the number 5 pick, but he was taken by the Colts one pick before the Seahawks at number 4. Thus the Seahawks narrowly escaped getting stuck with this highly athletic but under skilled player, because of all the hype that builds up about quarterbacks prior to the draft. Ignore the 40 times and GO TO THE TAPE! Milroe was an average college quarterback playing on a very talented team at Alabama. He was surrounded by talent, but played poorly a lot of the time because he lacks the necessary skills to develop into a good quarterback in the NFL. He would be ranked as a 6th or 7th round player in this draft if he was playing at any other position for any other school. Now some foolish team is going to waste a high draft choice on this guy who will wash out before the end of his rookie contract. I just hope it isn’t the Seahawks.
Milroe's build and skillset are a much comparison to Lamar Jackson than Jalen Hurts.
This is a sub-par QB class. Personally, I'd prefer to see SEA pass on ALL QB's in this draft. Much better class coming next year.
So Sam Howell doesn’t exist?
If he’s available in the 3rd round I don’t see a problem grabbing him if they don’t like anyone else. Especially if he sits for a year to work on his game behind a guy who can really throw the ball like Sam. You just gotta hope sam is a good teacher
No, other needs are greater and they already got their QB
7th round…Tommy Mellott QB Montana State. Deep sleeper.
