Obviously we’re waiting for Monday night Demidov hat trick as he teabags Bedard
Trick the boys by saying the game starts a 6:50 pm
Guys. This team only won 6 in a row instead of 7. Is it time to get rid of Marty???
whatever we were bound to lose one, but losing to the sens is the worsssstttttttt fuck
These slow starts are seriously starting to piss me off and idk how in a game where you can clinch you come out that fucking flat
Cant think of anyone who had a good night
Washington here we come!
This is going to get so toxic if we lose tomorrow.
Everyone relax and breathe. When not if.

Ugly one.
Would like to see them come out hungry to clinch. I hate relying on other teams to lose.
Boys had a great 6 game win streak, cant win them all. Let’s get it tomorrow vrs Toronto.
I’ll take 6-0-1. Do it again.
I’m pissed to lose to the Sens, but 3-1 over the season is still awesome
Plus, winning in regulation would bring us wayyy too close to the WC1 and I don’t think the boys are ready for the implications of going against the Leafs (my heart is not as well)
We play again tomorrow. Ez to forget and on to the next.
Well clinching against Toronto would be amazing
Good wakeup call hopefully, we need to start games better than we have been recently. Come backs are nice but not super sustainable.
“They have to find a way to start on time” – me for the last 10 games
Frankly we haven’t played a good 60 minutes in a month. We’ve been tenacious and lucky. But on the second half of a back to back against the Leafs, that first period could be ugly as hell.
6 game win streak had to eventually end. We’ve had many bad starts in the past month, we somehow would got away with it many times, tonight it bit us in the ass. Powerplay wasn’t great. We were behind the play a lot, we did a lot of stretch passes that led nowhere, we weren’t very dangerous.
Coaches need to work the poor starts and powerplay..
Not going to go into which players were bad, too many, not in the mood either.
Tomorrow’s game vs Toronto might get embarrassing unless the boys start strong and angry from tonight’s game.
Can’t win ’em all.
Plus, apparently you can occasionally lose games after getting scored on first; the team would do well to remember that.
Suzuki now one away from a second consecutive 30-goal season.
Would have loved to clinch a playoff spot tonight. But the win streak was going to end here eventually. Hope they find the legs to come out strong against the leafs tomorrow. The cushion they’ve created at the end here is nice but until all 4 of these teams are eliminated we need them to be playing like our lives depend on it. We shouldn’t just expect any of those teams are going to go out quietly.
Go flyers, capitals, hurricanes tomorrow
Edit: AND PRIMARILY HABS WTF AM I SAYING
[insert screenshot of readily available flight tracking info here]
Get ’em tomorrow, boys. I’ll be in the building being THAT annoying Habs fan.
Nothing catastrophic. The bad first period had to catch up to them at some point.
i dont really mind this game…. slow start, bad luck, missed calls, lucky goal against… meh. we are still in.
Sens fans shooting way up on my shitlist after that GDT
Just a reminder to everybody who is following the playoff race: Every team chasing us plays in the afternoon tomorrow except the Red Wings.
Islanders vs Flyers @ 12:30pm – Islanders drop any point and they are out
Blue Jackets vs Capitals @ 12:30pm – Jackets lose in regulation and they are out
Rangers vs Hurricanes @ 3pm – Rangers drop any point and they are out
Only chance we clinch tomorrow is with a point to eliminate the red wings. Can’t clinch on losses alone.
A few thoughts:
– This team lives and dies with the first line. When they have a really bad night, like today, they are dead in the water.
– Bad starts, but really, fatigue has clearly set in this team. They look like the team that stumbled into the 4 Nations break. They need to get a win at worst against Chicago so they can rest and play less some of the more important players.
– Newhook works a lot, but god does he not produce anything. He has three more point than Dach, who was vilipended for his weak play and missed the whole last stretch of the season.
– If this team wants to do something in the playoffs, MSL needs to become more cutthroat. Savard is barely able to skate right now. He needs to sit for Xhekaj. Same for Armia, who is clearly very injured and needs a reset. I cannot believe that Roy is worse than injured Armia.
If it was up to me I will rest most of the gang tomorrow.
People not realizing how exhausted our players are getting. One more win.
The Habs have been one of the worst defensive teams in the league throughout the season so the fact they’re here when they should be a bottom feeder is remarkable.
Matheson and Carrier are serviceable players but the only reason they get caved in most games is because they shouldn’t be taking the toughest assignments. They do because we have zero depth on defense. With that said, it makes me wonder if keeping the current pairs is really the best option. Anyway, Reinbacher can’t get here soon enough. This defense needs help.

Guys….. we’re still okay. Breathe. The pressure is on everyone else. We aren’t in the hot seat. Would it be nice to just get it done? Absolutely, but this isn’t do or die.
Obviously losing on purpose to have ovi pass the torch to demidov
