Who wants to tell Mamu he’s here for life?

  1. Unfortunately, I think it is unlikely that Mamu is back. He’s been a fan favorite for several years and given us a lot of great memories. Good luck at your next stop, Mamu!

  2. I would love to have Mamu back, I love his energy and the spark he can bring.

But unfortunately we badly need defense from a guy his size, and as much as it hurts, I understand if the org wants to move on.

  3. There’s a reason he grabbed the ball as soon as the game ended

Great energy off the bench. Decent outside shooter. All the makings of an all time locker room guy. Unfortunately he can’t provide the size/defense or playmaking the Spurs needs off the bench in his position.

He’ll find another team no problem. I hope he can get the bag wherever he ends up.

  4. Only Mamu have the off ball movement that can fit with any of our line-ups. Mamuuu, stay!

  5. Hopefully Brian Wright will tells him he’s here for one more season at least. Mamu is all heart. The rebuild won’t be finished next season and we need glue guys like him in the locker room. He’s not so terrible that we need to send him on the first train outta town this offseason for a 2nd rd pick or just let him go if his contract is up. I wanna hear more *”That’s a Mamu three”s* next season! GSG

  6. i’d expect someone to offer mamu a better contract than we will, but it wouldn’t surprise me if he’d prefer to stay here, he’s a perfect fit and seems like he loves it here, as long as he’ll be fine with the third string role barely seeing game action.

he could definitely be a more useful gameplay asset on another team but his energy even on the bench helps us out quite a bit imo. i’d love to see him still on the team next year though just for that
