CP3 on the fans + team this season: “The fans here are unbelievable…I got a chance to see more of the city, more of the people, the facility, the staff, the coaches, R.C. is one of one. I really got a chance to see why the Spurs have been the Spurs for so long.”

**General overview of everything else covered:**
* Wanting to finish the game tonight
* Thoughts on playing all 82 games this season
* **Always being evaluated:** “You gotta realize you are always being evaluated. How you do anything is how you do everything so whether you are in or out it’s just about being competitive and wanting to win.”
* Competing above anything else
* Being grateful for still being able to play in the NBA
* Feeling really good about his experience in SA
* Grass being greener where you water it and stacking days as a general approach to life
* Own personal journey to longevity
* Appreciating the job Mitch Johnson did this season leading the team through difficult circumstances
* Answering multiple questions about his future where he reiterates that he will make the decision over the summer after consulting with his family
* Reflecting on his legacy at the appropriate time
* Reflecting on his place and impact in the game for all the players he has played with throughout his career, emphasizing what a privilege it is to play basketball in the NBA as a way of life and to not take it for granted
Would absolutely love for him to stay as our backup PG next season. Sadly it may not happen though because he’d probably be getting paid even less than his current contract, he wouldn’t be starting, and he’d be away from home. Even if he chooses to retire or go to another team or whatever next season, I’m still happy he was a Spur. I feel like he really helped the team, especially Castle a lot.
watched his whole press conference, man what a switched on dude his love for the sport and the culture really comes through, we were insanely lucky to have him for even one season. Would love him back but if his path leads elsewhere I think his imprint on this team will stick around for years to come
I will openly admit I used to absolutely hate CP3 and now I just have nothing but love and the upmost respect for this guy. Even if he doesn’t come back, thank you for all of the leadership and coaching you’ve added to our culture #gsg
