Putting Bellinger in for Martian was one of the most head scratching moves I’ve ever seen. He was resting his back so you put him into the game cold after sitting for 2 hours? To bat lefty-lefty? When Martian was having a really good, confidence boosting game defensively? Just makes zero sense.

The lane for Rice to remain a regular with a Stanton return is becoming very clear. Sample size is small but he can move into a platoon vs RHP at 1B. Also nice to see that Jasson is crushing RHP. I’m not sweating his slow start vs LHP. I never expect him to develop into an elite slugger vs LHP but his career MILB OPS vs LHP was over .700 so I still have hope that he can become passable vs LHP in the same way that Wells and Rice are becoming passable vs LHP.
