This fkn guy.. How is he such a horrific FT shooter, but a very positive mid range shooter lol

  1. the only thing that really explains it is that it’s some kind of mental thing when he’s at the FT line lol

  2. -115.3 hahahahaha holy shit. I guess that happens when you take a lot of FTs and you absolutely suck at them

  3. How is his FT% this season compared to the Olympics last summer?

I thought I recall in qualifying games he shortened his routine and shot better for FT, but that may have been only after a couple games.

  4. That’s because Giannis is playing the long game. Sacrifice your career stats just for a competitive edge during the playoffs, hence his dominant Finals performance where he practically didn’t miss FTs.

Thanks for coming to my TED talk!

  5. To be fair, shooting like 45% in long twos is generally good, so the limit from where you go from good to bad is much lower.

That being said, his free throws routine is the most annoying thing on the planet. It takes forever and he’s show zero improvement with it. At this point, he can still do his stupid deep breath if he wants, but just get the ball, 2 take or 3 dribbles and go right into the shot. I know changing things this late in the season is probably a bad call, but something has to give. It’s absolutely mind boggling how little his routine has changed the last few years despite no improvement and possibly even some regression.

  6. Did we forget he hit 17/19 in a championship clinching game and just went 10/11 in a must win game?

  7. Love that he’s better at 3s then scottie Barnes.

    He’ll never beat the allegations.

  8. That discrepancy between free throw and mid range is absolutely insane. Everybody else on here generally is bad at both. Their difference between the two is maybe between a 10-20 value, but his is well over 100 lmao unreal

  9. I’m not, like, a big believer in the underhand free throw thing. But Giannis definitely should try it.

  10. This is a totally stupid statistical table and 99,9% of the people that will look at it won’t have the slightest clue on what the numbers mean.

(Yet they’ll draw conclusions based on red-bad green-good)

AMA: Ask me your conclusion from this table and I’ll tell you why (if) it is wrong.

  11. I’m fully convinced it’s a TO for him. He takes the full allotted time they will give him. Then he goes 100+ mph outside of the FT line.

It’s a winning trade off if you ask me.

  12. I just hope that if we get to a title-clinching game in the NBA Finals he can go like, 17 for 19 or something from the line.

  13. It would be interesting to see how many more wins the bucks would have over his career if he could shoot free throws

  14. I went to a game against the Knicks (11/3/23, NBA Cup) and Giannis was 3/3 from three. He was fouled taking the fourth one and missed all three free throws. Probably the only time that’s ever happened and will ever happen. He is 1 of 1.
