This analyst is normally very levelheaded and sees reason for optimism on the offensive side of the ball.

  1. The key here is on the offensive side of the ball.

The pitching is abysmal both in SP and RP and in lack of depth.

  2. Is it possible that the early season analysis is way too early? Maybe a larger sample size might be better? I’ll just try and stay positive and be happy in the present. Being a fan of the Angels means taking your happiness when you can.

  3. I mean this falls in line with off season projections. Offense decent on paper, pitching much less so. With the young arms we have out there it’s gonna be shaky. Just gotta hope they can keep making strides as the season progresses.

  4. I looked into Fangraph’s projections last week and found that they projected the 2024 Royals and Tigers to have worse seasons than the 2025 Angels. They largely know what they’re doing and we should be be mindful of our expectations, but they are wrong sometimes.
