But there's a reason no other team for the past 11 years has made that bet. There's a reason hires like this just don't really happen anymore. There's an understanding in the modern NBA that having built a great team two decades ago is not necessarily a qualification for doing so today. We now live in a world in which a general manager can get fired two years after a title, after all. What does it say about a general manager when he hasn't found success for more than 20?

  1. Look I don’t like the move just as much as the next person, but let’s just see how he does

  2. Maybe this is a mistake that Gayle Benson needs to learn so we can have a competitive team in 10 years. FML

  3. lets see the guy make decisions before calling him bad for stuff that happened 15 years ago

He has a clean slate. It’s gonna be hard for him to be worse than Demps or Griffin

  4. All I have to say is dumars you better prove us wrong and become the person for the job

  5. surely saying every missed pick is not what we’re holding against him, right? 14 teams missed on giannis. 16 missed on jrue.

its like holding the brady miss over every single gm.

  6. Only puzzling if you don’t know anything about the clown show we operate down here

  7. I’m a Joe fan but why the rush to hire him? Kick the tires on some new blood first.

  8. It’s so Gayle can keep taking the view off of her continuously bailing out the pedophiles in the church

  9. At this point it doesnt matter this isn’t a serious team , not worth supporting this team emotionally or financially I’d love to be wrong but this is the same team that thought Stan van gundy was a good choice 🤷

  10. Whether you like them or not, many people who cover this team have stated that this ownership group isn’t trying to win at a high level.

This hire signifies to me they just want someone they believe is “stable”. They didn’t do any due diligence. Just hired the guy they think will be best based on…. Winning a chip 20 years ago?

    Ok. Buckle up.
