I’m hoping I’m wrong but this feels like head fake shit to keep opponents guessing and force them to spend at least a little time preparing for a series that could include Dame. Just like last year when during the Pacers series we kept hearing what great progress Giannis was making and he could come back at any point only to find out he probably wouldn’t even have been cleared for the Finals if we’d made it.
Not gonna be fooled into watching the availability report all day like I was last year with Giannis. Prepared for him to miss the whole thing.

This isn’t really news outside of calming any hopes that he might actually make it back for game one. It was always a long shot that he could come back quickly from this type of injury. All the wording from the team is they are hopeful and positive about his return but that doesn’t mean anything. If he comes back that would be amazing and they could rally behind it but I wouldn’t expect it at this point unless they make a deep run.
