    > Lillard has, however, made significant progress with the blood clot and there remains optimism for his clearance at some point in the playoffs, sources said. He is continuing to increase basketball activity this week

  2. As expected. Been a month since he was pulled so hopefully better news around 6 weeks?

  3. this sounds exactly like giannis all over again. I fully expect to go the entire playoffs without dame

  4. Nah he isn’t coming back for a while, heard this about giannis all last post season.

  5. Jesus Christ, the pacers deserved to be molly whoped by a team with all their starters.

Whatever, I have confidence they’ll win the series

  6. “At some point in the playoffs” yeah he not back and this is gonna make some of y’all very happy. Bye

  7. I highly doubt he comes back for the Pacers series, let alone any after if we advance.

GA, welcome back to the playoffs.

Bobby looking great post suspension and KPJ been that dude.

    Lets rock

  8. This does feel like the Giannis “he’s close!” stuff from last year a little bit

  9. Don’t think he’s coming back at all. This is clearly a move to sell tickets and keep the Pacers worrying about whether he returns

  10. This still sounds like an upgrade to me lol.

After it happened it seemed pretty likely they were shutting him down for the season.

  11. This shouldn’t be a surprise. They’ve sort of gotten used to playing without him and they are in a good flow. Although it would be good to have him, he wouldn’t be operating at 100% anyway.

  12. Out of the playoffs. God. Damn. It.

Not falling for that same Giannis shit last year.

  13. This isn’t breaking news. It’s a blood cot. The real breaking news will be if he manages to make it back (though I would guess that won’t happen unless the bucks make conference finals or finals).

  14. This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone.

They’ve also won 8 straight without him.

  15. Dame’s skillset can be replaced by committee (GTJ, AJ, KPJ). Can’t say that for Giannis.

Giannis took the Celtics to 7 with George Hill, Wes Mathews (who was great) and Jrue who couldn’t make shots to save his life.

Giannis being healthy is the most important thing.

  16. Where’s Irelli? That dude said we can just hold the DOAC for the game! Why isn’t the FO listening to our intern MD????

  17. Well It’s been 4 weeks since Sims surgery, another week before playoffs. Nothing official yet, but he should be good to go.

  18. Even if he returns, his conditioning will be shot. Worse than the start of ’23-’24

  19. I’m hoping I’m wrong but this feels like head fake shit to keep opponents guessing and force them to spend at least a little time preparing for a series that could include Dame. Just like last year when during the Pacers series we kept hearing what great progress Giannis was making and he could come back at any point only to find out he probably wouldn’t even have been cleared for the Finals if we’d made it.

  20. Not gonna be fooled into watching the availability report all day like I was last year with Giannis. Prepared for him to miss the whole thing.

  21. When they say sources do they mean common sense?

Sources also tell ESPN gravity will alter the bucks players ability to jump

  22. Time for a really awesome comment section of super authoritative commentary from people who have absolutely zero subject matter expertise

  23. This isn’t really news outside of calming any hopes that he might actually make it back for game one. It was always a long shot that he could come back quickly from this type of injury. All the wording from the team is they are hopeful and positive about his return but that doesn’t mean anything. If he comes back that would be amazing and they could rally behind it but I wouldn’t expect it at this point unless they make a deep run.
