New Orleans Saints, Jalen Ramsey Trade Absolutely Makes Sense If The Asking Price Is Right

The New Orleans Saints should absolutely be interested in trying to land Miami Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey via trade. The biggest question markw ill simply be the asking price. However, if they don’t have to surrender premium NFL Draft capital, the move might be worth it. Breaking down the financial implications of such a move and what it would mean for Alontae Taylor and the Saints’ defense led by Brandon Staley.

While the Saints are set to view a private workout for Georgia’s Mykel Williams, an investment in a developmental edge rusher isn’t needed at No.9 overall for a team that’s not in position to await growth. Instead, there are more ready-made prospects that would still be available later in the draft.

  1. Prefer to pass on Ramsey and get someone younger/cheaper, but if the price is cheap I'm not against it. Also prefer not to go edge at pick 9/1st round again (need WR), but I know we'll need someone to develop behind Cam. Hopefully Staley can develop/use Foskey (DA couldn't use develop some really good talent that we had). Great stuff Ross, thanks!

  2. Maaaan, we need to trade Ochsner Clinic and the whole training staff for a damn Yoga or Pilates instructor. Next, just get an undrafted economics or finance major LB from Miami. Not to play but just crash out on Mickey Loomis everytime he fck up the salary cap.

  3. We cant afford Ramsey! Ross is turning into every uninformed Saints fan……we simply cannot afford 25mil a season, and to bring in every injury prone player that other teams no longer want!😮

  4. Derek and David Carr have launched a new YouTube channel called Home Grown Network. Hmmm imagine what. I think his injury is bullshit. I think he just wants out of New Orleans.
