Recorded this before the news of NYG brass flying to Boulder for one last look at Shedeur. It lines up precisely with the information I shared on today’s show re: the NYG still considering Shedeur at No. 3. It’s worth mentioning, sometimes ownership can get involved with decisions like these… just saying.

  10. Abdul Carter and Travis Hunter was the way to go in the first. Then draft Milroe in the 2nd/3rd. Let him sit a year or 2.

  17. I dont see us taking him. Although we’ve been watching him since last year. I think we take Carter/Hunter and later try and trade up for him or Dart. Or we just go BPA and roll with Wilson. I think the 2nd option is their best chance to save their jobs tbh.

    Ownership is always involved in these decisions. The GM and HC specifically tell who they’re drafting.

    Anyone thinking that Mara is overrulling for Sheuder is as idiotic as people saying he forced Jones onto them.

It’s already been getting harder and harder to root for this team but if we take Shedeur at 3 and it comes out that ownership overrode the GM it’s gonna be really hard for me to ever fully invest in this team again. How could you when the dumbass at the top is gonna fuck everything up at every crucial moment.

  23. I just read that they’re also holding private workouts for Milroe and Shough between now and the draft, so this is not exclusive to Shedeur. And I feel like that lines up just as well with the idea that they want other teams to think they’re taking a QB as it does with them actually taking a QB. Especially holding them all this close to the draft. So who knows. I guess we’ll find out soon enough haha.

    I keep asking: is Shedeur any better than the next couple of QBs? With so many teams being reported as being interested in trading back, why would they pick QB at 3, when they can trade back into the middle of the 1st round and nab a QB there? Does it have to be Shedeur? I just don’t get it, the scouting community doesn’t really hold these guys as being a sure fire 1st rounder, never mind a top 3 pick.

    I think even Jenty would better than taking a QB here. Take a sure fire allstar calibre player.

  30. This is the team doing due diligence and NFL media needing clicks before the draft. If the Giants take anyone other than Carter or Hunter it will be a massive shock to oddsmakers.

  31. IMO, Gotta make sure due diligence is met. His pro day was avg, a lot of short routes and deep fades with minimal rollouts. See him a second time and have him throw the routes you want to see. See his mobility for your scheme, then make a decision to draft Abdul Carter.

    But I’m just a guy on the couch with a bad back so 🤷🏽‍♂️
