    I think cubs had highest BABIP with RISP in the majors headed into this game. So this probably evens it out a bit.

  20. Besides winning and breaking their streak, my favorite thing about this game is that there are no more stupid late west coast games til August.

  21. Good teams find ways to win games. It wasn’t perfect, but we won. We beat the Dodgers, we’re playing the Padres tough.

  23. What a battle. Shota showed a lot of grit, and the bullpen threw a gem. Huge win for the pitching staff.

    Nico with the big hit. He’s so good, and so underrated.

    I could gripe about dropped balls or guys left on base, but so could the Padres fans.

    All I care about is the W. Way to fight, Cubbies. Solid win. Take the series tomorrow.

  26. Never forget everyone that wanted to trade Nico and put Shaw at 2B this year. He has been stellar and should be in our long term plans.
