I find it amazing how Grisham jumps the instant the ball is hit and just fucking SPRINTS to where the ball is gonna land. Dude has no eyes on the ball until the last second and still makes the play look easy. Anyone who ever played outfield knows just how difficult that is.
Yesterday made me happy.
Today made me happy.
Aaron Judge ignoring the single season home run record to try to bat .400 this season wasn’t on my bingo card
Fried has been electric outside of his first start. Loving this signing so far
The pitch Jasson hit to clear the bases was 96 on the inside black behind in the count so he probably wasn’t sitting fastball and he still got the bat head out in front.
Which shows the natural talent is there to hit Right handed he just needs the reps.
Saw someone bitching about Volpe after the game. Dude he was 1-3 with a walk and he drew a 2-runner balk. His range is extraordinary, his arm is clearly plenty strong enough, and he’s a very good to elite baserunner. He has a great attitude and it’s clear his teammates love him. I don’t want him chasing homers and swinging out of his shoes but seriously some people just have a hate boner for him
I’ve got so many Boob puns tomorrow 😮💨
Dominguez strikes me as a quick learner. He’s learning left field and you see him getting better in real-time. His at-bats are improving. And his English is actually decent. Not too shabby for a 22 y.o. born and raised in another country. They got a talented, smart player.
bring us home, Clarke
I think Luke Weaver is fast becoming my favorite non-Aaron Judge Yankee.
Wells drew a bases loaded walk against Zerpa in the DS to spark a rally right?
Fried has been as advertised so far in the early going. The lefty ace (not sorry, Rodon) gave a Quality Start with 6.2 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 7 K and now has a 1.88 ERA through 4 starts. Recorded 2 K through 2 innings but then fell into trouble in the 3rd. A Melendez HR and Witt Jr RBI double got the Yankees in a hole early. But afterwards, he was lights out only giving up 2 hits before being taken out in the 7th. He’s been the stabilizer this rotation needed and credit to Cashman for going after him. Fastball and curveball were his best pitches, responsible for 6 K combined. What could have been had Cole been healthy.
Offense was quiet for half of this game. Only 3 hits through 5 innings, 2 from Dominguez. Then, the dam broke in the 6th. Judge gets on with a single and with 2 outs, Chisholm and Volpe work great ABs for walks to load the bases. Yankees get on the board with a Wells RBI walk to make it 3 BB in the inning. Then, Dominguez (from the RIGHT side AND with 2 strikes) drives the ball down the left field line for a BASES CLEARING DOUBLE for the lead. One of the main contributors to tonight’s win as he went 3-3, 4 TB, 3 RBI. Couldn’t be more proud of the kids showing up tonight in Wells and Dominguez.
When we got Williams, I said that Weaver to Williams would feed families. They sure did as they combined 2.1 IP, 0 H/ER, 2 K. Weaver in relief of Fried gets 4 outs on 11 pitches (10 strikes) which is absurd. Lastly, we finally got to see a perfect 9th from Williams to clinch his 3rd save, Fried’s 3rd win, and the series win over Royals. Our boy Clarke set to make his debut tomorrow as they look for the sweep.
Martian doing well in the field and at bat, stoked to see that so far.
I love that our ace is Fried and not grilled. Max has been as advertised and we needed that with Cole out and Rodon still on and off.
I’m a big Volpe fan, generally I’m a big fan of our home grown players, so I hope he ends up having a great year.
Sweet victory
>Gura sings at the Dodgers game
>Dodgers win the world series
>Gura retires
I can’t believe the Dodgers would sell Gura’s soul for a championship.
FIRST PLACE YANKEES
I think Jorbit Vivas could be a real big league bat if we weren’t so lefty heavy. Would be a perfect third baseman against righty pitching. Waldo still holds his own enough to have earned that spot. Vivas May be a decent trade option come July.
I LOVE THE NE**WW** YORK YANKEES
Good Job Guys. Two well solid games played. Let’s grab the sweep.
We’re tied for the best record in the American League lol
I’ll be absolutely livid if Judge keeps the BA but somehow not the homeruns or RBIs to win the triple crown. That would be some sick shit LOL
Apparently Dominguez lost his contacts when the helmet got knocked off
Just curious. Was Grisham or Bader the better center fielder?
We need Clark to be really good. It would be such a huge addition to the rotation if we can get a consistently good Schmidt for the season.
Yay, we got hits with runners on. I guess it can happen.
We got so unlucky with Cole and Gil going down. Having them along with Fried paired with a an awesome backend of the pen and what has been the best offense in the league would have been awesome. Hopefully, we can stay consistent until Gil gets back at least.
If Dominguez and Rice both really hit, the season is a success whatever happens.
I like jomboy but he’s so dumb bro. “I don’t know if I want to see Dominguez from the right side” IT IS APRIL. I like talkin yanks but sometimes it’s so clear that they’re literally just fans that got popular
