I mean, it’s an unpopular team that half the EC teams in the playoffs hate (Detroit, Milwaukee, NY).
On top of that, we aren’t an elite team with no mega superstars.
That isn’t surprising too me.
Are some of y’all like NEW new? We do NOT get love from the national media. Never have, never will. Fuck the pundits, fuck Kendrick Perkins specifically, but fuck all the talking heads that don’t actually watch basketball. It’s pretty obvious that a lot of them don’t watch ball period, let alone watch a Pacer game.

I’d love to be the wrong one but I swear this sub overrates our team so bad lol we are a 4 seed, we do not have a Giannis/jokic/luka level superstar, we are not currently a championship team
Edit: 1 4 seed has won the championship in NBA history, in 1969. The only seed lower than that was 6th seed in 1995
For as long as I’ve been alive and I suspect previously, the Pacers have never been respected as an organization. It’s something you get used to as an avid fan.

Idk bro, but a little more than 1 in 200 brackets doesn’t seem all that ridiculous. Realistically I would say we probably have more like a 1 in 50 chance, but I definingly wouldn’t pick us to win it all.
They’re not going to win the finals and that’s okay lol
I don’t really mind not winning it this year. We’re still a young team and also made a different accomplishment of 50 regular season wins.
My only wish would be for them to get back to the ECF (most likely will be the Celtics again) and at least take 1 game since that would be an improvement over last year.

I mean, I believe that we have a better than a 0.6% chance but 76 out of 78 NBA championships have been won by a three seed or higher. It’s been exactly 30 years since anyone other than a 1, 2 or 3 seed has won.
If we get to the big game we will get dog walked by okc. I say the odds are definitely against us. If we make it out of the east and it’s the lakers in the west then I give it 50/50

I’m a die hard Pacers fan. For 47 years I’ve been dreaming of the Pacers winning it all. I filled out a NBA playoff bracket. I do not have The Pacers winning it all though. I hope with all my heart I’m wrong
