100% agreed, Walter Nolan is gonna be our pick in the first, maybe we trade down or stay put but it gotta be Walter Nolan.
If he’s in the back half of the first round, fine. If we reach for someone who will wind up the 4th best DT in this draft at #11, I’m going to be unhappy.
I don’t think they’ll go DT at #11. After a potential trade down ? Sure. But at #11 I think they’ll either go OT with Banks or EDGE with Mike Green
I’m not implying Chris Simms is the end all be all but he is Kyle’s best friend so I value his opinion on certain players who are projected to the Niners.
Simms isn’t high on Nolen at ALL. I was actually surprised to see how down he was on Nolen. He was down on him so bad that I said, is he saying this as a smoke screen to help Niners? But that doesn’t make sense cause who’s gonna listen to Simms over their scouts?

My guess is Mykel Williams. We dont value OT in the first and unless Membou or Campbell is there itll be an easy choice. I like Banks, but they skip over great but non-elite OL every year.
I don’t think they’ll take Mike Green due to the allegations, there won’t be a blue chip OT available, none of Hunter/Graham/Carter will be there, and Shemar Stewart aint it.
I’d say we trade back, but EVERY team will want to trade back because the value of this draft class isn’t in the first round (outside of about 5 players)
