[Charania] Amazing: Milwaukee’s Damian Lillard has been cleared of his deep vein thrombosis and is no longer on blood-thinning medication, sources tell ESPN. Lillard is out for Game 1 Saturday against Indiana and will have a period of time to resume contact workouts and ramp up for return.

  1. Goes to show how important it is to get home court. We NEED to win the first 2 at home.

  2. You gotta think even when he returns, he’ll need some time to get back into basketball shape. Probably a minutes restriction throughout the playoffs

  3. Seems kinda quick. From a medical standpoint, it doesn’t sound like those making this decision have his best interest in mind.

  4. Good for Dame and good for the game. Cers in five. And we won’t have to hear their annoying excuses all off season.

  5. Glad he’s healthy. That said I’m not convinced the Bucks are much better with Lillard being available.

  6. Thank god, wasn’t looking forward to another “but you only won because the other team was too injured” series. Let’s beat em at full force boys, Pacers in 4!

  7. Love to Dame. I wish him all the best and want to see him firing daggers from the logo again soon.

But I’m gonna get real f’n sick again of hearing how the only reason we have a chance is because he’s out.

  8. I’ll be damned, I thought he was going to be out much longer. That’s really great news for him. And just in time to get his ass beat.

  9. glad I won’t have to hear all my bucks friends have any excuses, but more so I’m scared for dame and his health, hope he isn’t rushing any of this.

  10. Something about “Remarkable and historic development … this recovery has never been seen before” seems very much like the kind of thing that would happen to the Pacers. I’m glad to hear he’s healthy though, I hope he gets to play in the series. He’s such an exciting playoff performer when he’s cooking.

  11. They did the same shit last year with Giannis. I wont believe it til I see him on the court

  12. I heard somewhere that it takes a long time to clear the medication… like weeks. Not sure how accurate that is, though.

  13. This feels way too soon for him to be doing this and I’m actually concerned for his safety. I’m sure he is receiving great care, from people way smarter than me. But this is a life threatening condition we’re talking about here.

  14. I’m happy that Dame is healthy but I don’t expect to see him on the floor until a potential game 6 at the earliest.

  15. Lets do what we did last year. Bucks limping into the playoffs again. Time to strike.
