  1. Thurman Munson. There are 17 catchers in the HOF. He’s 12th all-time in JAWS (a stat that accounts for longevity). Each of the 11 catchers ahead of him are in the HOF. Unless they plan on never inducting any catcher again, he should be in.

  2. Barry Bonds, Alex Rodriguez, Roger Clemens, Sammy Sosa, Mark McGwire, Pete Rose, etc.

It’s a museum, get off your high horse

  3. Luis Tiant. 229-172, 66.1 WAR, 2400+ Strikeouts, 1.19 WHIP. More WAR than ~20 Hall of Fame Pitchers.

Plus a world famous delivery and personality.

  4. I don’t think it’s a slam dunk, but I was shocked Johan Santana dropped off the ballot his first year. It’s a Koufax situation of a short career cut short by injury but with insane peak value (and he actually had a higher ERA+ and WAR than Koufax in the same number of seasons)

  5. **Johan Santana**

2 Cy Young’s- should have been 3 which is pretty much a lock for HOF.

    3x All-Star

    Pitching Triple Crown (2006)

No-hitter, which probably cost him is arm and a longer career.

No pitcher more dominant in the 2000s

  6. I don’t care about his career numbers or the fact he only played 11 seasons. Roger Maris being the single season home run king for 37 years, or 61 years if we’re not counting steroid guys, he absolutely belongs in the hall

  7. Dwight Evans was my favorite player when I was a kid. He is in the HOF of my childhood mind at least.

  8. David Cone. Cy Young Award. 5 time all-star. 5-time world champion. Pitched a perfect game.

  9. David Cone 😤

    5 WS rings
    Cy Young
    Perfect Game

He’s accomplished everything a pitcher could literally ever hope to accomplish. His resume is bonkers and he deserves it Off accomplishments alone imo.

  10. I’m tremendously biased, but Bernie Williams. And yes, my username is after him.
