Can Joe Flacco recreate his magic with the Cleveland Browns in 2023 as the team’s QB1 in 2025?
The Browns and Joe Flacco are back together.
The veteran became part of Browns folklore after leading them into the postseason in 2023. Then Cleveland decided to stick with Deshaun Watson ahead of 2024. Flacco moved on to Indianapolis, earning two wins through six starts, though they finished 8-9 and missed the playoffs.
But after admittance of the failed Watson experiment, and with the 2025 NFL Draft around the corner, Flacco has returned. However, you have to feel real sure Flacco can deliver once more if needed.

If we get hunter and Judkins or Henderson at 33 Flacco can definitely have a decent year
All we need is 6-2, 5-3 in the first 8 and Joe is a hero.
I will go out on a limb here and say I believe this is going to be Flacco's last year and he's going to give it everything . This will be his swan song.

I think he is still capable of taking this to at least a wild card.
Flacco has always been average. But he is consistently average so I guess stefanski can plan with that in mind.
Flacco is a massive upgrade from deshaun. Last time joe was here he averaged 320 yards and 3 tds per game while going 4-1.

Had an easy schedule. Look he played good but he over the hill ! If he was great Indy would’ve kept him.
Everyone is talking about Joe's age being 40 and that he can't play the whole season and that his body has to fall apart soon.
Have those with this opinion ever considered that Joe is just a genetic marvel and he could still play well for several years?
Nolan Ryan was still throwing mid to upper 90s and pitched a no hitter in his mid 40s. Tom Brady started full seasons from age 40 through 45 with numerous playoff games as well.
What usually does a QB in is that his arm or other parts of his body start breaking down in their late 30s. This hasn't happened with Joe, at least not yet. His arm is as strong as it was in his 20s and he's avoided any serious injury for several years now.
Joe could start falling apart this season or he could play 3 or 4 more seasons still. Who knows.
Flacco will start the season no doubt. Browns don't want Pickett starting & having fans chanting for Flacco after one or two bad games.
