Hey 🙂
What the fuck is going on 🙂
13 consecutive games without scoring more than 4 runs. Kind of hoped the Tigers would hold at 4. All you need to beat the Royals is 4 runs.
Not addressing the outfield aside, the Braves let go of Kevin Seitzer this offseason and we were like… “Nah”
the fact that Q asked for a crew review and was denied on a pretty obvious wrong call and then just walks back to the dugout with his tail between his legs doesn’t inspire much confidence
Hard to stay on the hopium train when we’re currently on a streak that looks like this: L4
Something is going wrong in training, Bobby is literally the ONLY guy who stays consistent! Everyone else is on a trend of flyout, or strikeout and leaving everyone on base.
Looks like it’s time to give JJ and Alex contract extensions!

4 batters in our lineup are hitting under .200.
6 are hitting .207 or lower.
We have scored 6 more runs than the Colorado Rockies this year
also, since the topic of India’s hitting came up… if you can’t tell what an average launch angle of 26 degrees looks like, just imagine the typical Jonathan India AB because that’s what he’s doing.. he is getting under everything
Last offseason focused on hitting RISP and moving batters. It worked.
This offseason feels like it was spent trying to get all hitter to raise their launch angle. Tons of upper cut swings, and aiming for the fences.
Whiffs and pop outs galore.
Ryan O’Hearn has hit three home runs 🙃
I’m heading to the batting cages to learn all the secrets of hitting and share them with the Royals
and the first base ump who missed the call tonight and denied a review is tomorrow’s home plate ump… so……
Scapegoating the hitting coach is actually hilarious.
For the first time in 10 years the Royals actually had momentum.
And then the front office made no significant moves to address any of the major weaknesses of this team. They are now reaping what they sowed.
The problem is singular. Hitting. No blaming any other aspect of the team. Sherman and JJ are at fault for this dogshit lineup.
This last week has been so disappointing. We are ICE cold right now. Vibes were so good going into the season. Not sure how they all fell into this funk
For what it’s worth, Alec Zumwalt seems to be the guy that most openly gives a shit about everything within the team. He’s very vocal when hitters do well so I imagine he’s trying to get them through this too.
So why not make him the bench coach, the backup manager behind Q. I honestly don’t really know who the current bench manager even is or what he does. Like, I knew *a little* about Grifol and Svuem and Wakamatsu but I don’t know who Q’s backup is. lol.
This of course begs the question of who becomes the actual hitting coach and I don’t know the answer to that. I don’t think the Omaha guy is going to be the answer. Maybe the AA hitting coach along with calling up Cross or Jac? Is that too extreme?
Not even remotely entertaining to watch. I’ve started turning the games off anytime they are losing.
Bobby is going to have to a lot more to carry this team to anywhere near respectibility. One hit a day, ain’t doing it. India following in tradition of chocking Royals leadoff hitters. Vinnie gone missing. And just a baker’s dozen of AAA guys in the outfield. Then there’s Q’s unwillingness to use his top bullpen arms for the entire losing streak.
DFA list update: MJ, Renfroe, Stratton, Bilbo Biggio, Still Waters.
That was embarrassing. The offense was putrid with risp. The offense needs to right the ship. Go Royals.
Nice lol
Maybe this question has been asked, maybe someone can someone ask a Royals beat writer. I don’t do social media: The rule book says beginning in the eighth inning a ruling can be challenged upon manager request, even if we don’t have a challenge remaining. Why wasn’t the outcome of Renfroe’s last at bat reviewed?
Before someone says that it’s a request not a right, help me understand why it specifically applies to the eighth inning onward and without a challenge remaining verbiage.
Rule: “At any time during a game, a crew chief may initiate a replay review of a potential home run call without a manager challenge being exercised. Beginning in the eighth inning, a crew chief may conduct a replay review of all reviewable calls upon his own initiative or upon the request of a manager who has no remaining manager challenges.”

Same story different game…our offense is embarrassing and it’s putting too much pressure on the pitchers to be perfect.
I want to fully blame JJ but at the same time a small market can’t rely on FA to plug 4-5 holes in the lineup. This is the results of drafting and developing very poorly for years before JJ took over as GM
15769 for a team that went to the playoffs last year that is one of the best teams in the AL this year…. maybe Detroit needs a downtown stadium
Good news Massey 3 hits. Bad news we have scored 28 runs in last 13 games for an average of. 2.15 runs a game. We have 3 batters hitting over .207 not counting Canha on the DL who did well but only has batted 14 times. New pitchers did ok but not Lorenzen .Stratton who should not be in the Major Leagues is only getting worse 9.00 ERA.
The Royals have hit only 10 homeruns. They have the worst AB/HR in all of baseball with 64.4. I guess that’s what happens when you have only 3 power hitters and 2 of them are slumping.
