Surprised it’s not more.
Still want $1.7 billion, Pohlads?
Thoughts and prayers to the pohlads
If we get that down to 50% maybe all of us can buy the team for a few bucks! I got 5 on it!
Well they’ve done all they can to decrease the value of the product, but they’re now shocked that the quality of the product is less?
I do truly wonder just how much of this can be attribute to weather. Highly doubtful its all of it, but its been cold and anecdotally I know a few people who were going to go to a game (specifically opening day) who didn’t because of how cold it was.
Yes, yes, on field performance. But also weeknight and weekday games with cold weather.
Amazing how businesses don’t do well when they don’t invest in their product
I don’t know if it will happen but I could see the internet taking a page from the Oakland fans of the A’s and making this a big thing in boycotting games.
It was one thing to be so expensive to take a family to a single game, now they’ve blatantly refused to invest in the team and they’re not putting out a good product.
IMO, the appeal of the new stadium is gone for most, and the owners haven’t helped much.
It would be entertaining to see the price plummet and their value drop since they only seem to see this as an ATM.
Honestly, I sort of figured they would juice the team a bit before selling it.
Have the team in a decent place in fan support looking good ….
Would definitely have helped with buyers.
Wait until ALL of the optimism disappears.
It’s almost like investing in the team you own is important, who would’ve thought!
As a fan I completely understand why but as an employee of the stadium I hate this
Do the people who think the weather is the reason forget that it’s cold in Minnesota every April?
The idea that this has somehow been a particularly bad spring is extra strange, have we forgotten the Twins have played home games in the 20s and had several snow-outs?
The average temperature for the first 9 home games this year was 51.5 degrees – exactly the same as the average temperature for the first 9 games last year.

You mean taking money from team payroll after we won our first playoff series in years was a bad move?
No shit sherlock. Can’t wait for the Pholads to be gone.
This feels like the beginning of the movie “Major League”.
Only 9%. Thought it would be more.
I can think of a few reasons:
Times are tough money wise for many people, so non-essential spending is down.
Cheap tickets might be available, but in-park food prices are too high.
Twins are near the bottom of the standings, playing about as well as the White Sox.
Nobody likes the Pohlads, sell the team!
See this is what I don’t get you want to maximize your dollar but then gut the roster to the point where they’re almost unwatchable. Wouldn’t you want a roster that at least is competitive and keeps the fan engaged. They wouldn’t have to be like the dodgers or Yankees and spend like crazy all they have to do if build a roster that’s worth a damn and be competitive every year and win a playoff series or two every couple years. That would be the biggest way to maximize your return
Let’s get that number up folks.
Yeah I don’t give a fuck either. Kirby Puckett take me home… in my dreams.
Good to see. Hold ownership accountable!
Right sizing their fan base. 🤦♂️

Regardless if the twins start winning games or even sniff the post season, as long as the Pohlads own the franchise they can look forward to a 100% attendance drop from me.
As much as it pains me, I would prefer to see the team keep losing to further widen the rift between fans and Pohlads and drop attendance more, but also in no way do I want the Pohlads rewarded by their behavior via post season runs. We all know had the twins not collapsed, even with a first round exit, the Pohlads would have been patting themselves con the back proclaiming TOLD YOU SO! While also feeling embolden to make even bigger cuts than they did.
People who want to blame the weather I leave you this. Sunny weekend, joe Mauer statue unveiling and still a alarmingly small turn out. That alone speak volumes
Good.
If the owners don’t care about putting together a competitive team why should the fans?
Honestly, I hope we have a losing season, , just to ensure that the owners will sell. We need to establish a new & better baseball culture next season!
How is it only 9%? I can’t believe people are still buying tickets.
