Would be sick but I doubt there’s much we have that they want. They would want a young player and probably defense like perekh which I would rather have than #1 overall in this draft in which #1 isn’t even agreed upon

This is plausible but it is more likely they would consider moving down to 4th or 8th overall for the right price. It is a sign that they’re not confident of any of the likely top draft picks, and they would prefer to have multiple shots.
I don’t think the Flames have the assets to make this trade. They would likely have to give up both first round picks and a good prospect to make this happen. While I am fine with using both picks to move up to get into the top 5 to 10, I think trying to get the first overall would simply be too expensive for what you will get.

There is no way in hell the Sharks are trading that pick if they get it.
I don’t believe for one second they would trade the 1st overall pick. Even if they did, the only way we could make a competitive offer is to offer something like Parekh/Wolf + both our 1st rounders + Coronato/Zary. It would be such a monumental offer that it would do more harm than good to us. Maybe in a year where there is a McKenna or DuPont available I’d consider it, but not this year.
It would be really fun to see San Jose trade it to anyone.
