I’ve seen both posts. Anfernee simmons at his best is a top 5-10 shooter off the catch in the league (imo), but that is almost literally his only skill that contributes to winning at a high level. His negatives (awful defender, poor facilitator, extremely reliant on outside shooting to score) are so severe that he might not definitely be a positive asset. The magic would never sell low on two cost controlled young prospects, one of whom played 28 minutes for them in a playoff game the other day, for him. If KCP returns to 75% of what he was in Denver, he is equally valuable to their team as Ant ignoring age. You’ve got a serious bias on your hands.
What I’m saying is we are NOT entitled to value back for Anfernee in the form of a burgeoning 2-way wing who’s 21 and on their rookie contract. I’m not convinced they’d do Anfernee for Black straight up considering his contract. The magic certainly need shooting but this is undervaluing the talent they’re sending us.
