Roster needs a shakeup around the core for sure but Thunder’s defensive depth is the best I’ve seen at least in the last decade

We can’t play defense. Like at all. The OG GNG Grizz would be disgusted with this. There’s just no reasonable excuse for defending worse than any college team
Brother what did you expect. It’s one of the best teams in the league. I get everyone being confident homers but this team just isn’t that good.
This is why I wanted us to lose to Dallas. Both should result in a massive FO and roster shakeup, but one way save the team a pick and spared the fan base having to watch this series

Coming from someone that’s been on this ride from day one in 2001, I agree. I’ve endured the darkest of times with this team and this is the most disappointed I’ve ever felt, so much wasted potential with this core and I just don’t even care anymore. Should have just lost in the play-ins and at least gotten our pick back. Sure as fuck beats getting steamrolled in the first round.
Looking at this from the outside, I don’t think JA is the guy to lead yall to a chip. I get he doesn’t have much around him, but I don’t think there are a lot of players who want to play with him.
Not to be the conspiracy guy, but I kinda think that was the point. I truly believe the NBA wanted to ‘embarrass’ Ja Morant and the Grizzlies. Went from 2 seed all year and only needed to win one game in the last 2 weeks to avoid the 8 seed. Now all of a sudden we’re not good enough to beat teams we’ve beaten before? What better reward for ‘spitting in the face’ of the NBA than getting matched up with (who they want badly to be) one of the best teams in history? Give us less than 48 hrs to prepare and you’ve got a recipe for embarrassment.
I love this team they’re super fun, but we’ve really got to get back to our roots the grizz are built on defence and this team doesn’t have any of it
