Snit’s reply is a typical PR response to this type of situation. “I haven’t seen that headline” is a standard response you hear from politicians these days when they’re asked an uncomfortable question by a reporter.

Honestly, I wish Snit just came out and said, “Yea I made a mistake” and just moved on. Doubling down when we got the receipts is really going to make it difficult to get the support of both the team and the fanbase after this. My problem is that he made multiple excuses. First it was the Acuna situation “wasn’t the same situation” (when it absolutely was). Then he made a comment about how Kel always hustles, so this was out of character for him. Then he flat out said he didn’t even see it until today, which is pretty sad if true. He also sounded pretty defensive with the reporter who asked him. Like, how dare him for asking. I just hate how he handled this whole thing.
