  3. i think this bit really lost the plot when it stopped being about tragedies actively being discussed on the broadcast and started being this huge reach to associate every home run with some random tragedy.

    that said I’m still gonna laugh if it happens.

  17. This bit has gone from “Castellanos hitting a home run while the broadcasters are talking about something serious” to “Castellanos gets a hit (doesn’t even have to be a homer anymore) when something happens somewhere.”

    If it’s not creating an awkward situation in the booth, it’s not funny or noteworthy. At this point, you could make the same joke about any player in the league on any given day.
