I remember a love hate relationship watching him as a kid. Every time he would sling it like that I held my breath knowing there was a chance it was headed right in the hands of the defender. I dislike what he became but I loved him as a gun slinger
You can almost hear Mike Holmgren’s exasperated screams
Say what you want about his personal life off the field, but on the field the guy was magic. A truly 1 of 1 arm talent
Cannon.
The problem he had in the latter portion of his career is that he lost about 5%, which still made him the strongest arm in the league, but 2004 and beyond Favre couldn’t get away with the dumb shit 1997 Favre could.
The style difference between he and Rodgers following him always cracked me up. Both guys had plus arm strength (Favre greater ofc) but with Rodgers it looked practically effortless, like a flick, whereas Favre really wound up and put extra mustard on that thing
Then there’s Love who seems to have taken a similar style as Rodgers while expressing a sheer confidence in his arm closer to Favre
Yet the biggest strong arm of all was Brett’s Legal Team trying to silence allegations of stealing from his state’s welfare funds.
God. Steve Mariucci is probably still taking about how amazing Brett Favre is
Threw the ball like he was angry at it
That OT pass to Jennings against the Broncos was awesome.
I’ve been trying to find the post game interview with Jennings forever bc it’s one of my all-time favorite quotes.
it went something like the following with Greg having a huge smile on his face from ear to ear:
“Greg, what was going through your mind when you saw the ball in the air”
GO GET IT
“and after you caught it?”
TOUCHDOWN
Threw picks like hell but was so fun to watch! Could’ve done without the Minnesota clips though! 🤣🤣
Throw against the Cowboys was an absolute laser beam
This parody video still makes me laugh, and this guy nails Favre’s facial expressions.
Tommy, completions are way more awesome when you force em through triple coverage! Remember that!
