CSN has probably offered more of a candid, insightful take in two tweets than Ben and Shelton have in 6 years.
I actually liked Canaan off the bench. Thought he was a decent player, or maybe it’s because he tried hard
CSN already looks more competent than the current staff with 2 tweets.
Amen.
The inconsistency with Shelton and his lineup is a major reason I was over him about 7 games into his manager career. I remember the first year you’d see a player get a couple hits one night and be riding the bench the following night. I know most of the talent he’s had was nothing special, but if you don’t have high end talent you’ve got to ride the hot bat. Not only does it give the team a chance, but it could really help a fringe players confidence, and what does it say to a player who had 2 hits and rides the bench the following night.
As for Cherishlosingthem, our illustrious GM, he has won over 79 games once. I don’t care if Bob sells (he’s not) just get rid of the fucking clown show running the big league club and the idiot running the player personnel side of things.
I’m amazed at how someone (Shelton) can spend their entire life around baseball, and yet seemingly know so little about it.
CSN teach your parents well…this Nutting hell, will slowly go by……
In my opinion. I believe based on what some beat writers and such have mentioned that these analytic guys are everywhere in the Pirates organization. They are overdoing it . Did you hear Cheringtons interview. He said forget about avg and such the underlying stats say everything will even out for them….
Anyone remember when Cutch first came back, there was a stretch when he was red hot and then they sat him. When asked why Shelton said the monitors they had on all players say Cutch exceeded his step count for the week…..so i guess if you go 4 for 4 with 4 triples you are probably going to exceed your step count and get benched the next game
I still believe these silly lineups are being made by the analytic guys.
