  1. For the people in the front:

    Fuck the Yankees

For the people in the middle:

    FUCK THE YANKEES

For the people in the back:

    #FUCK THE YANKEES

  2. Positives from today’s Cleveland baseball:

#Extend Steven Kwan (and fuck the Yankees).

Brayan Rocchio appeared to be powered on pure hatred of the Yankees and I love it. The offense gets 6 runs off of 9 hits, 4 walks, a stolen base, and a HBP. Future statue-haver José Ramirez🐐 moves into second all time for Cleveland XBHs with a three run nuke (and an RBI single), and Manzardo🥔 keeps the pedal down, going back to back and getting his third home run in three days. Angel😇 gets a double and a single, Kwan👑 goes 2/3 with a double and a stolen base, and Rocchio🪨 slaps a pair of singles and gets a HBP (please fucking be ok).

Theoretical no more, meet QS Big Rig! Gavin Williams🚛 goes 6.1IP, 7H, 2R, 2BB, and 8K on 104 pitches. Pitch count getting way up there, only runs off of a late home run, WHAT A GAME. Shoutout SCHNEEEE⛄️ for the quick defense in the ninth.

Paul Sewald🌊 takes over the shortened 7th, and gets out of it quick with a strikeout and a flyout. He returned for the 8th aaaaaaaand gave up a two run bomb… dang it. Joey Cantillo⬅️ wrapped up the eighth, and we welcome to the mound K’d Smith🐴 for his second career save opportunity. BANG. BANG. BANG. BOOK IT. K’D SMITH. SIT THE FUCK DOWN JUDGE.

It is Monday, the kids don’t play… instead. Triston “Sticks” McKenzie debuted against the Detroit Tigers in the 2020 season, and went 6IP with one run allowed, earning the win in his first ever start. From 20’-22’, Sticks had a 3.68 ERA across 344.2IP and struck out 368 while walking 111, being a consistent and excellent piece of the Indians/Guardians rotation. Once we got to ‘23, the injuries began, and he was unfortunately never able to bounce back all the way. I very much hope he can find himself again🎋🎋🎋

  4. Great win to start the series now get at least one of the next two games and I’ll be happy

  5. Aaron Boone whenever he doesn’t get bailed out by the umps.

  6. They let Steven Kwan have a torpedo bat. They let us trade Civale for Kyle Manzardo. They let us resign Jose Ramirez. Gavin Williams

  7. This game felt like the first time we are really hitting our stride this season. 4th in a row, offense was great, Gavin was great. Just did a lot of things well to take this one.

  8. Yankees fan complained to me about Manzardo’s “wall scraper.”

Brother that ball is 20 rows deep in your ballpark.

  9. Comparing tonight to the vibes of the April Yankees series last year is night and day. Much less fear from our guys. (Granted this one’s at home and doesn’t have the weird rain-out/double-header, but still proud of the fight.)

  10. 1.) fuck the Yankees

2.) K’d should have won rookie of the year

    3.) fuck the Yankees

  11. First thing first – FUCK THE YANKEES! Let’s go Guardians!

Gavin looked amazing. Jose getting hot and Manzardo looking good again!

Cade Smith looked great! Let’s win again tomorrow with our Ace on the mound.

  12. Cade Smith taking care of business. Good shit.

Minus that 7th inning homer, Williams had a great game. I’ll take two runs if a starter is getting into the 7th.

  13. we’ve had some damn enjoyable ballgames lately. Kwan was so awesome – two hits, two runs, a walk, an amazing slide at home, and an insane catch. my goat.

  14. I have nothing but nice things to say about Aaron Judge, but I will bathe in the tears of Yankee fans tonight with that strikeout to end the game.
