Jed certainly has a type when it comes to relievers.
That should fix the pen, right guys? Right!?!
Championship!
I remember people were excited for him all those years ago when he finally moved to reliever and was pitching really nasty for a season or two there out of the bullpen. Sucks it seems his arm has almost fallen off last couple years. If by miracle he’s finally healthy this could end up not being the worst move ever. I wouldn’t count on his health at all so likely not. Seems like Jed is dumpster diving again
David Robertson’s price must be pretty steep still.
(Yes yes the Ricketts are cheap, break even and all that.)
Yeah 5 years ago id be excited, wtf are they doing? Guy hasnt played in the big leagues for 4 years.
Final piece to the WS!
BREAKING. EVEN.
Can’t hate it lol it was prolly for cash so it’s just another body in the minors in case of injuries who can possible pitch averagely
I’m surprised he hasn’t signed Fulmer after the Red Sox dumped him.
I like how Jed goes for the old and washed up relievers.
Dumpster diving as usual. Thanks Jed
I saw Drew and automatically thought Smyly. I don’t know if I’m more or less disappointed.
When are people going to understand that trading for players at this stage of the season is one, difficult to do, and secondly you run the risk of paying more to jump the market?
This is a move I’d expect Kenny Williams make for the Sox.
I’m not hyped about this, but not sure what people expect either. No one is available right now because most teams are still in it and in order to get someone that’s actually good before the trading season truthfully starts, you’ll have to pay a premium for it. So yes, dumpster diving is the only option right now. Jed should’ve fixed this before the season though.
Would it kill jed to sign a guy for 2 years who has pitched in the majors within the last 2 years?
When we said acquire bullpen we should’ve specified good bullpen
this is great news 5 years ago!
I remember him being pretty decent before he got injured but yeah 4 years out of the league is concerning.
Cubs Bullpen 🤝 Bears O Line.
So many veteran pitchers.
Clearly not buying a championship. I can only hope he’s got some left in the tank.
An arm is an arm I guess
We basically got him for nothing. Why not? Decent lefty when healthy. Why would anyone be upset by this. We didn’t give up any players, just cash.

Early season dumpster diving!
Tyson miller again?
Jed’s gotta be trolling, high, or both.
Hasn’t pitched in the majors since 2021.
No major league innings since 2021.
Hm, good luck with that.

This would have been a great move a decade ago
God lord. Imagine being Jordan Wicks rn

He’s a lefty with a pulse so we’ll take him.

At this point you can’t blame them for trying anyone that has an arm to throw with..
