  2. We’re the only series that hasn’t started yet. Everyone else has played at least one game so far.

  5. Why is this game so freaking late!?!? We’ve gotten really screwed over by the schedule between it taking so long for game one and game one being so late

  7. I just hope both teams have fun.

    But really, it’s the time of year I have to listen to the radio and play some mindless game. Playoff hockey gets me so unnecessarily stressed out.

  12. Last season, after the Stammer debacle, I had posted repeatedly here that I saw a path for JBB to retool pretty quickly and extend the window. Yes, everything had to work out just right, but the path was there.

    Fast forward, here the Bolts stand at the start of yet another post season, as a team no one wants to face. Vasy has been the best goalie in the NHL since the calendar rolled over to 2025. The top scoring offense in the NHL, a top 10 defensive unit. Mack Truck and Hedman are putting up career level efforts and production. Jake has shored up the liabilities of the top line. Gourde is as much the engine as he was for the cup runs. Hagel, perhaps the greatest trade of JBB’s career when it’s all said and done, has taken the step and become a star. The playoff experience is there and then some, this is a roster built for a cup run, and everyone knows it.

    This is going to be a slug fest, but I think the Bolts will remind the league that they have the heart of a champion.

  13. This is going to be an extremely tough series. We will need to do things that we have not done this year.
    ⚡️are 8-14 in one goal games.
    ⚡️are 3-20-3 when trailing after two periods
    ⚡️are 35-8-6 when scoring first
    🐆are 11-10 in one goal games.
    🐆 are 2-19-2 when trailing after two pretty similar numbers when trailing after 2 periods.
    🐆When scoring first 33-10

    The only stat that sticks out is the one goal game win ratio.

    Glendenning and Chaffee both back will help ease some of the pressure on the forwards. Thug fest incoming.
    We will miss Bjorkstrand and TBH I don’t expect him back till next season. That was a nasty Seider hit that took him out. Legs are the primary run for players and his IMO is toast.
    Hoping I’m wrong and if we were to get out of the first round there is a miracle on Channelside Drive and he appears for round two.

  19. My nerves are not ready for another playoff run in which we actually have a legitimate shot. The last 2 years were different.

  25. Watching teams like the Kings play last night, a team that got rekted 1st round, make a scoring statement in their building said a lot. Winning G1 and G2 are really important, not just because of the home ice, but because Tkachuk and Ekblad…

    I think we win this one in a nail-bitter, 4-3 with a late 3rd period goal. Set the tone. I’m not scared of any team in the East.

  27. Florida coming back with 11m over the cap. Ekblad comes back in 2 games.

    Gotta win these first two.
