I remember when it was first announced he was going to be the new head coach, so many people were talking smack and doubting he was going to be good. But Arnie for sure proved them wrong.
I never had any doubt after he covered for Bones last season. I mean, I didn’t expect things to be this good, but I’ll take it!
I remember I was definitely underwhelmed by the hiring. I’m happy to be wrong.
Great article. Very well researched with deep cut interviews.
I’ve never been so happy to be proved wrong.
As a casual fan of the Jets, they seem to be a different team than in the recent past despite having a good portion of the same roster. And the continued success, even without Vilardi is really promising. I hope he can get back in the games soon. My comment sounds like a bot, but I’m really just trying to summarize the situation hoping someone will correct me if I’m wrong.
I remember people were upset when he was named the head coach.
I’m not sure I ever really doubted the guy. When Bones went out last year to look after his wife, we started playing great hockey – and scoring in bunches.
I don’t think I had ever seen us score like that before. And it was Arniel at the helm then. So I was pretty confident he was partly responsible for making that happen.
Was pretty optimistic to see what he would do. Then we opened the season looking like a team possessed. Our guys looked like changed players who had put real work into the weaker areas of their game. And from that point on I was sure he would be our guy.

“proving” as in he hasn’t done it yet?? November 2024 called and wants their headline back.
He sure is! I remember feeling a little lost after Bowness decided to leave. Never did I expect Arniel to be the Jack Adams candidate that he is.

friendly reminder to those it applies to

Arniel has my vote of confidence for sure.
