  1. As a Jets fan this kinda terrifies me, but I am so happy to see him back. I really hope he does well!

  2. Wow, after being out for so long this is absolutely amazing. Nice to see you back on the ice Gabriel!

  3. Going to get downvoted into oblivion: Happy he’s back but out of all the kids to get a puck he’s giving it to his own kid?

  4. Alright, who started cutting the dusty onions?

The last time that man was on the ice in an NHL game is my favorite sports memory ever – I’m in my 40s so I’ve seen 3 SB wins for my Broncos, 3 Cups for my Avs, a title for my Nuggets…and well, a fluke WS appearance by the Rockies.

But their Cup win in 2022 tops them all, simply because I got to watch game 6 with my then 5 year old son at home and I have video of us (mainly me) absolutely losing our minds after that final clear out of the zone at the end of Game 6 in Tampa.

I live about 4 miles away from Ball Arena in Denver, I wonder how much further away the roof of the place would land if Landy scored an OT goal tonight.

I have bad knees – mad props to him for pushing through what he has had to go through to come back.

  5. When they focused on him for the documentary about the playoffs he mentioned a few times that he just wanted his kids to see what daddy did now they are old enough to understand. Seeing that sign and thinking about that brought a lump to my throat as a father.

  6. Good shit. I had a similar procedure about 10 years ago. I felt his pain and know how awesome it feels to get back the one thing you love (snowboarding/skateboarding).

  7. I mean, it’s nothing short of modern medicine miracle that he’s out there again. The last guy to have this procedure done said his career was over the moment he went under the knife.

Oh, I hope Landy can get a couple seasons on it. Put up some decent numbers. Another Stanley cup would be a dream.
