  1. The strongest room of the Cincinnati Reds has to be the catchers right now.
The backup catchers are batting well over 300 and doing an excellent job behind the plate.

  2. Spencer Steer has the ability but where he had been playing through a shoulder injury & out of playing his usual position; these things seem to have tendancies to effect a players focus & performance but I do believe once he is healed up & starts to get healthier then he'll start doing clutch performance play again!

  3. I’m well aware of Candy’s contract, but I would not just continually play someone who hurts the team just because of the contract. That is foolish and counterproductive. I would rather pay him to sit than pay for 4 automatic outs a game.

  4. I disagree that Stephenson is the guy. He really doesn’t hit any better than Wynns and is not a better catcher than either Wynns or Trevino. Never has hit in clutch. Strikes out with runner on third. Not “the guy”

  5. I told you earlier that McClain's high propensity to strike out would be a liability. Your 2nd & 3rd team hitters just can't continue to carry their KO lumber back to the dugout, and the team play better than .500 season baseball. Stephenson is a family man who, at the earliest opportunity, will go home to play for the Atlanta Braves.

  6. I believe the reds will be around a .500 team this year and every year until the mlb changes in a major way. The reds havent won a playoff series in decades, weve only appeared it the playoff once in a very long time
