  1. I believe he will get 3 assists and after 9 games he will be sent down to the AHL.

    That’s my prediction.

  2. And please .. keep the expectations realistic for god sake ..
    I’m gonna say 65 goals and 47 assists .

  3. Not as many as folks would like.

If NHL: 8 and 15 for 23 pts

If AHL: 15 and 26 for 41 pts

I hope he gets more but not counting on it.

  4. realistically? around 40 points would be my guess, 10 goals 30 assists if he play the entire season with us. He tends to create a lot of scoring chances but it will mostly depend on if his teammates can finish for him. if he stay third line and he is unlucky 30 points might be closer to what we get.

It’s still his first season as a 18 years old so I don’t expect 50-60 but there is a chance he get there if everything goes right

  5. If he play a full season and hit 40 points it would be good. I think production will highly depend of with who he play. He won’t produce the same playing with dvo and armia than if st-louis put him with caufield and suzuki. My overall expectation would be 25-40 points

  6. To me this is not important at all. I want to see him progress and improve all the skills he has.

  7. 25.

The kid looks great at times, but I noticed a couple of things:
    1. he stays too close to the wall without the puck. Especially noticeable when he’s on the weak side wing.
    2. He gets fatigued quickly. He’s not at NHL-level fitness. This is exasperated by the fact he’s so far out of the play off the puck because of the above. He puts himself in a position where he needs to work harder and expend more energy – energy that he doesn’t have.
    3. Once he’s tired he becomes invisible.

It’s all fitness related and fitness is easy (compared to skill). I’d have started him in Laval, and allow him to work on his fitness while being a productive player. That said, maybe it’ll be good to throw him into the deep end – he’ll be building his fitness every game, in addition to putting work in off the ice.

He’s 50-60 points in the AHL.

  8. If a full season, i can imagine 23-39 points but i have absolutely no.prob with sending him down after 9 games if coach feels it’s better for his development. I’d rather have him skating 18min a night in the AHL, adjusting to smaller ice and gaining confidence than 12min Montreal on the 3rd line.

We CAN NOT afford to fuck this up. We’ve been so pathetic in development since the mid 80s. And it’s important to think big picture this season. Bedard really or top 3 if not should be the play this season.

I am rooting for Slad to succeed but also for the team to do the same and i think it might be in both’s interest to hang low this season.
    My 2 cents
