  1. That was a pretty moronic time to have Jesper get his first start. No chance this team in its current state was going to be able to shelter him or provide any goal support.

Not to mention his only games back since injury were both ends of a back to back.

  2. Challenge: Do not get utterly and shamelessly embarrassed by Dallas, the team reviled most by the fanbase.

    Difficulty: impossible

  3. Swept by Dallas and murdered on national TV… Just wow…
The entire Wild organization owes Jesper and his dad an apology for leaving him with this absolute embarrassment of a game as his NHL debut. I’ve officially lost faith in the front office at this point, and the continued lack of any depth or drive, and all the brain dead decisions on the ice has me questioning whether I want to bother watching the rest of this season. It seems like the only person who gives a damn at all is Faber, and he and Jesper deserve better than this.

  4. Tough game to start Wallstedt’s NHL career. In Dallas, who have been serving it up to us on a platter all season. Half of our top-tier guys are injured. Hope this doesn’t shake his confidence too badly. Not a fun one.

  5. Playing Jesper with the B team out in front of him against a team that has owned us these last couple of years was certainly a decision

  6. I mean, what’s there to say? Not a single positive from tonight. I’d say that’s probably the season right there. That’s who this Minnesota Wild team is.

  7. Feels like a game where someone should get fired but I don’t think that’s an option. Yes we have a bunch of injuries and whatever and he’s only just back from injury but wouldn’t that be a reason to not start wallstedt? Not to mention our horrible past efforts against Dallas. Just awful decision by guerin.

  8. I’ve got a serious question for the don’t tear it down crowd that firmly believe tanking is not something this team should do. Take a look at the Jets, the Avs, and Dallas. Look at their asset and cap management, the talent they’ve acquired and most importantly developed. How does this team ever catch up in it’s current state?

  9. Jesper got peppered and needed more support. Getting out shot 2:1 doesn’t help.

Team needs work and hopefully all the geriatrics signed to long term contracts start playing as good as they’re being paid.

Boldy with an assist and a goal at least justifies a paycheck. Faber looked good too.

  10. I think the call-up was out of pure desperation knowing that our goalie situation is dire and he’s the best option for backing up flower.

Anyway, that sucked. I don’t want to look at the numbers but surely we’re missing the playoffs.

  11. I have lost any faith in Billy G at this point, brain dead bullshit with the contracts he’s handing out and to allow Jesper to go get fucking slaughtered behind that effort is mind blowing.

  12. Really really concerned about how Guerin is building this team and other than Faber, the lack of consistency with most of our younger players. Who am I kidding. Most of our players.

  13. No doubt this is the worst team in the NHL at the moment. Just bottom out and get a good pick. On the positive side, tickets at the X will be cheap as hell soon.

  14. Guerin is totally exposed. Fires a coach, hires a guy with zero energy with a history of failure and now the bump is over, this franchise is a dumpster fire, Guerin needs to go

  15. I’m sad. I just feel bad for Jesper. He deserves better. Hopefully it doesn’t kill his confidence & he can bounce back this weekend.

  16. Two quick things:

I think GMBG will be gone after next season. He’s running out of rabbits to pull out of his hat real quick. What’s he got left, convincing Crosby to finish his career here?

If Suter is forced into retirement, are the Wild off the hook for his dirty money?

  17. Y’all are way too doomer. It was a bad loss. Get over it. Wild were always gonna lose this game unless they pulled out some sorta magic. Our two best defensemen are out. Our best scorer is out. Our Primary goalie is out. There was zero pressure to win this game, it makes sense to start a rookie goalie to give him a taste of the NHL.

Plenty of critiques to be made, it was definitely a bad game, but the result wasn’t far from the expected outcome. Frankly, I’m much more disappointed by Mondays game than tonight.

Keep the faith. Right now, the wild should be a bottom of the pack team. That’ll change, but right now we just got to enjoy the little moments of brightness that we get. This team will be great, they just arent right now

  18. Highlight of the game: realizing Brock is our guy, MN boy, heart of the fans and team. It’s hard to change my flair from Boldy (my Boldy) but it has to be done. All hail Faber! 🙇
