  1. PFF Grades:

    OVR – PBLK – RBLK

    2023: 60.2 – 54.5 – 62.1
    2022: 50.6 – 40.3 – 55.4
    2021: 52.1 – 20.1 – 62.1
    2020: 61.2 – 58.8 – 60.6

So more than likely not the savior we’re hoping for

  2. Vet add that can play T/G on both sides. He’s 6’7” and 315 (listed). Likely addition to add depth. I wouldnt expect a starter signing outside of CB (if one is added).

  3. I watched every saints game last year rooting for Derek Carr. Peat was a guard who a lot of Saints fans were down on. However he surprised everyone when he stepped up as the starting left tackle after some injuries. He played pretty well. Really good depth signing by Tommy T!

  4. Man he really fell off after his 3 straight pro bowl seasons, but this is really great depth. At least it is not the end of the world if someone in the starting group gets hurt. Another vet that can mentor JPJ and Glaze is a plus.

  5. Great fucking signing. My belief is that Munford is the plan at RT, but having an experienced swing tackle like Peat is great. If Miller misses time (hope not), perhaps Munford over to LT and Peat steps in at RT. Or if Munford can’t continue use his progression, Peat is a decent fallback.

But I doubt he’s a long term plan. If Munford can’t get it done, then RT may be a need after next season. Or maybe Glaze sticks at OT and is good, or maybe Wagner is a diamond in the rough.

Point is, there are a lot of bites at the apple here, exactly what is wanted if there is no concrete plan in place. Lots of contingencies to last the year with the possibility a young player is the solution long term.
