Joe Pavelski has scored the most playoff goals in NHL history without ever winning a Stanley Cup

  1. Playoff run to forget but he’s also one of the most clutch scorers ever. If you isolate 3rd period or OT goals that either tied the game or put his team up by 1, the only players with more of those goals are Brett Hull (20) and Joe Sakic (19). Pavelski has 18, with none of those coming in this playoff run.

Hull had 3 OT winners, 9 go-ahead goals in the 3rd, and 8 game-tying goals in the 3rd.

Sakic had 8 OT winners, 5 go-ahead goals in the 3rd, and 6 game-tying goals in the 3rd.

Pavelski has 4 OT winners, 5 go-ahead goals in the 3rd period, and 9 game-tying goals in the 3rd.

  2. Mario with 76 in 107!! Man, I wish I could have seen what he could have done if he didn’t have to deal with such massive health issues.

  3. Goals per game for Bossy and Lemieux are legendary

Both ended up with major back problems that shortened their careers.

  4. This took me a while to get. I thought you were saying pavelski has the most goals overall despite not having a cup not he’s the leading scorer for no cup

  5. Dude needs to chase shamelessly at this point, absolutely nobody would blame him

  6. I’m a newish hockey fan – can someone explain it to me like I’m five? Because as a newbie reading this, I don’t understand how his numbers are the highest?
