Which NHL Team Takes Home the Most Revenues?

  1. I’d need to see this broken down by prices / costs / profit / etc.

LA having the 3rd highest sounds like just being a resident of LA if theres no context.

  2. Really I find it hard to believe the Kings are higher than Boston, Montreal, I thought even Vegas would be higher.

  3. Revenue certainly isn’t any kinda determining factor of success, obviously.

  4. Wouldn’t have guessed that for LA judging by ticket prices. It’s cheap to be a hockey fan in LA. I suppose there are more revenue streams than ticket sales, but still.

  5. Looks like everyone should be able to pay their bills? $87M plus team overhead…?

  6. Kinda surprising to see that Colorado is a poverty franchise, but what a fun fact!

  7. Something is strange here. Oilers second in the league for revenue? Just doesn’t jive

  8. Florida went to the finals last year, how are they so low? Data doesn’t pass the smell test.

  9. Kinda shocked the stars are so high and the Avs so low…I’d love to see some breakdowns.

  10. I was not expecting to see the Devils that high. Granted, we had a ton of sellout games, but we also have one of the smallest arena capacities in the league.

  11. What about expenses – would love to see a gross profit chart as revenue doesn’t tell the whole story

  12. What kind of revenue is this? Is it gate revenue? Does it count concessions and in housemerchandise? Does it count league wide merchandise? Does it count the tv deals? Is the profit sharing factored in?

  13. Poor ducks, always living in the shadow of the best California team 😂😂

  14. There’s no way they are including  the national Canadian TV and radio rights  The Canadian teams bring in about 50% of overall revenue according to several previous articles and reports

  15. If you dive into to these numbers none of it adds up. MSG which is a public corporation that owns the Knicks and Rangers made close to a billion in Revenue. 926 million to be exact. It made 337 million in profit. So you are going to tell me the Rangers only made 265 million of that almost a billion in revenue?

The rich are very good at hiding their money. Ottawa is so low because their owner was an idiot and it is a recently sold team. The cascading of wealth has yet to start.

  16. I can’t believe the Ducks are as high as they are especially with how fucking awful we have been.

  17. 3/5 of the top 5 from Canada and Bettman doesn’t want another team in Canada when they do expansions….

    That’s crazy

  18. Average ticket price = $94
Number of home games per year = 41
    Average seating capacity ~18,000
Average concessions & parking revenue per game ~$1.5M

$130.8M in revenue per season (not including merchandise sales) for a team that puts a decent product on the ice and has butts in seats.

  19. So all those clickbait articles claiming the jets are moving can suck a dick I guess. Why would a team that turns a profit move especially when they aren’t the lowest in the league.

  20. That’s shocking to see the capital of Canada so low on this list. They really need to move their arena to within a 500 mile radius of downtown.

  21. The Oakland Athletics, known as the poverty franchise of the MLB who is about to relocate, generated $241 million in revenue in 2023.
