I get it but please, I’d say a lot of players really want to win and want to win a lot. How do you measure and quantify that desire to say nobody wants to win more than him? It’s just flowery talk from a sad man.
For Draisaitl, that’s a surprising amount of emotion that isn’t “pissy”.
This band of brothers wants to win it for the group as much as for themselves, looking forward to next season.
So does literally every other person in the league I’d imagine
Mcdavid would have to break the goals scored record in the playoffs on top of most assists to win with that roster
Looks like Drai and MvD were both playing injured, Mcdavid likely needs abdominal surgery and Drai with a broken rib and finger.
I broke a rib at age 12 blocking a shot in 1977, I was scared to death of sneezing, coughing, farting, taking a shit and/or deep breaths.
So I’d like to hear what u guys think about McDavid refusing to come out to accept the Conn Smythe? IMO it’s the right move because your team just lost the cup in a tight game it would seem insensitive to them if you went out to accept it and of course the Florida fans would boo you. Imo I wouldve accepted the trophy if it had been Florida in 6 to give your fans a happy moment but since it’s not even in front of your fans I think he did the right thing.
I genuinely think the majority of people who want to see McDavid fail is because of how much the media slobbers over him. He’s a stand up guy, trains extremely hard without relying on just talent, good teammate, stays out of trouble, doesn’t cause drama.
But the media makes him a “teachers pet” so it causes non oilers fans to want him to fail.
Where tf was thus guy all series?
*Jumbo Thorton raises his beer mug.
That’s my quarterback
Leon is a sunken ship.
McDavid’s looking around and taking in the sights last night before getting off the ice scared the hell out of me. He’ll be back
It probably Hurts him worse knowing he’s Injured Again ! I imagine Kane is just as worked up too.
Oil need some Enforcers to step up so their top 5-6 or so don’t get ruined before the end of another season.
You see Oil D etc Avoiding Checking not finishing their plays/Checks over and over and over meanwhile their star players are getting murdered over and over.
Forwards Playing Defense – Look at some of those goals if 1 player had met Panthers mid ice and stood up those goals would have never been able to fabricate themselves but they instead Avoided the hit or retreated right into Skinners Crease.
Needs to change must stop – and the tossing pucks away under slight or no pressure without thought of where its going.
Just my 2C
If he wanted to win; he should have shown up
Just once, I want to see one of these players rip the Fanatics hat off of their head and slam it down and exclaim “and Fanatics sucks !” and walk off.
So he’s exactly the same as every other player in the league?
I’ll make sure to pour some beer out for him while I’m at the parade celebrating on Sunday. Go Panthers 🏆
Fuck man… 😭
I like McDavid, dude is a stud, but where TF was he in games 6 & 7?
Sucks for #97.. He knows hes not gonna get to the final again unless hes traded.
Best player in the world by a decent margin
3 points and no goals in finals.. way to show up
They are a great team with a great coach. I have no doubt McDavid gets his cup.
Soon as he’s on an American team he’s got a chance
I wish I was wrong but clearly each year I’m proven right
Canadian teams will not win the cup
sux dawg 🤷♂️
McDavid is amazing and will be hof and in the discussion among all time greats. I’d hate to see the only mark against him being not winning the cup. Genuinely hope he wins one day
He wants to win a Stanley Cup so bad, but you know next year he will still be playing 22-23 minutes in a regular season game, chasing another Art Ross/Hart trophy…
Do you think maybe if he limited his ice time, and had less points because of it, that maybe he wouldn’t have been a ghost in a game 7 of the finals?
Just saying.
Mark my words, the minute McDavid is not an Oiler player anymore, his future team will go on to win back to back championships.
